In 1946 there were three democracies in the world with constitutions that, on the one hand, required the government to obtain the support of a legislative majority in order to come to and remain in power and, on the other hand, established a popularly elected president. In 2002, this number had grown to 25. Constitutions with this feature are often considered to be problematic, and, given the number of new democracies that have adopted them, have received considerable attention from political (...) scientists. The primary concern has to do with the potential for conflict between the assembly supported government and the popularly elected president, which may lead to unstable governments, policy paralysis, and the eventual undermining of the democratic regime. Concern has also been raised regarding the negative role a popularly elected president may have on party development and the that in a pure parliamentary democracy runs from voters to government through political parties. In this paper, we examine the effect the combination of assembly confidence with a popularly elected president has on government instability, accountability, legislative effectiveness, and democratic survival. We also examine the impact on these outcomes of different combinations of presidential powers. We find that the introduction of a popularly elected president in parliamentary constitutions is of little significant impact and that the preoccupation with the specific powers of the president is mostly overblown. The article highlights the theoretical foundations of information support of public administration. The paper considers and analyzes effective information and telecommunication systems for implementing information security in public administration, including the development and implementation of a scientific approach to it. The research focuses on the amount of information that moves in the information system of public administration activities and provides authorities received mutually reinforcing effect "economies of scale" that is traditional in costs by increasing the scale of production.

Modern linguistics is characterized by the establishment and formation of a new promising direction, based on anthropocentric theory of speech genres. The popularity of this direction lies in the interest of the scientists in the phenomenon of virtual communication, which has a certain structure and differs in mechanisms of influence on the social content. The multidimensionality and richness of genre forms determine the need for a diverse approach to the study of speech genres in modern genology. The aim of the (...) article is to study and analyze the theory of speech genres in modern linguistics. The author presents the basic theoretical foundations of the study of the theory of speech genres. Taking into account the achievements of modern studies, the concept of speech genres is analyzed, features and functions of the visual elements of the speech genre are described. It is proved that the modern speech genre and its variety the virtual speech genre are an informational and communicative environment in which there is a certain styling, sphere of communication, speech behavior. The speech genre and the virtual speech genre belong to the written communication and rely on the fullest use of lexical, grammatical, graphic, and media means of speech, which foresees certain adjustments, as well as it differs by the form of dialogue and monologue. In this article reviews the historiography of modern scientific research achievements of the youth movement of the late nineteenth ofGalicia- 30th years of twentieth century. The writer states that generalize the work, which comprehensively reviewed their development work on the history of individual societies, studies of specific areas of their activities, historical and biographical and other different genres publication is a significant contribution to the development of modern historiography of the problem.

Today local, national and international ethics committees have become an effective means of social regulation in many European countries. Science itself is an important precondition for the development of bioethical knowledge and ethics expertise. Cultural, social, historical and religious preconditions can facilitate different forms and methods of ethics expertise in each country. Ukrainian ethics expertise has some methodological problems connected with its socio-cultural, historical, science and philosophy development particularities. In this context, clarification of some common legitimacies or methodological approaches to (...) ethics committee (EC) phenomena such as globalization, scientization and the prioritization of an ethics paradigm are very important. On the other hand, elaborate study and critical analysis of international experience by Ukraine and other Eastern European countries will provide the integration of their local and national ethics expertises into a world bioethics ethos. The article reveals the issues of interdependence of the development of human capital in public administration on the level of its provision by the state in the context of COVID-19. In a democratic, civil, postmodern society, one of the main tasks is the development of systems for managing the efficiency of human capital in the context of public administration, as a means of obtaining higher levels of labor productivity. Today we have to state that the achievement of this efficiency in (...) the use of human resources can be better achieved by orienting the performance management system to promote the attraction of new human potential in public administration at all levels. In this context, a new approach to the human capital management process is being actualized, which includes employee engagement and key factors of employee engagement at every stage. We are talking about a management model that includes the main ideas and offers a new perspective on how to develop and manage the involvement of human resources to achieve high levels of labor productivity in public administration in the context of COVID-19. The essential factors of implementation of gender identification in the context of social and communication interaction have been considered in terms of the social and philosophical analysis. The author focuses on the achievements of postmodern philosophy in terms of the scientific analysis that focused on the problem of understanding gender marking subjectivity not as immutable biological forms but as socially constructed conducted by certain types of social and communicative strategies. The author indicates that different social aspects of biological sex of (...) the individual associated with the process of public perception and the system of established socio-cultural relationship. These require the individual to a particular type of gender communicative behavior, the most appropriate in a particular society, and language becomes from an external tool in a tool of external means of formation of subjectivity, begins to define the essential contents of the subject. Language appears not only a way of individuals communication, but it is also organic strategy "involvement" of the subject in contemporary culture system, it acts as the key to his self-expression and identity. The author emphasizes that gender role is a differentiation of activity, status, rights and duties of individuals based on their gender; it belongs to the category of social roles and expressing certain social expectations. The value-regulatory system family, which brought up a specific person, has an influence on the formation of gender roles. In terms of the communication gender display is means of gender roles implementation. Gender identity should not be seen as attributive property of the individual, but it should be seen as a model of social and communicative behavior, that enables selection of the most effective communication strategies for social interaction and social causes of self-identity. Our study shows that 26 % of respondents believe that the End of the World will not arrive. Twenty-four per cent of respondents are skeptical about the likelihood of the Apocalypse, but they admit its possibility. Thirty-seven per cent of respondents believe that the End of (...) Time will not come soon and the remaining 13% expect the Apocalypse very soon. Some respondents indicate that growth in the rate of prophecies connected with the End of the World in recent years suggests that humanity itself seeks it, while 9 % of respondents state the religious point of view in their works. Also 9 % of respondents believe that there will be no destruction of civilization or destruction of the planet but there will be a mental transition to another level of being. The existence of correlation between creative thinking and eschatological expectations was also empirically established in our study, especially in the group of respondents with a high level of verbal creativity. There is no correlation between the index of non-verbal creativity, personal religiosity and eschatological expectations in the sample. These results confirm that our study is relevant and offers great prospects for further scientific research. (shrink)

Проблематика філософії в гімназії інтегрує окремі гуманітарні дисципліни і дає ґрунтовний виклад основних проблем життя. Деякі теми доповнені тематичними царинами естетики, антропології, філософії історії, філософії права і держави, філософії природи і техніки, філософії релігії. Аналіз останніх досліджень і публікацій – ми спираємося на останні роботи Марії Фюрст і Юргена Тринкса (...) «Філософія», де представлено досіві викладання філософії в австрійській гімназії; Керола Двека «Налаштовуйся на зміни»; Р. Флорида «Homo creatives. Як новий клас завойовує світ», в яких розглядається проблематика формування креативної особистості, здатної працювати в умовах інформаційного суспільства. Автор спирається на ряд робіт В.Нікітенко, М.Максименюк, О.Сосніна, О. Пунченка, в яких досліджуються креативні елементи інформаційного суспільства. Методи - аналізу і синтезу, системний, структурний, що дозволили проаналізувати і структурувати проблеми; аксіологічний, антропологічний, які дозволили проаналізовати особистість та її ціннісні орієнтації; синергетичний, що дав змогу проаналізувати інформаційне суспільство як складну нелінійну систему. Постановка завдання – аналіз проблематики буття як об’єкта викладання філософії в гімназії у контексті розвитку інформаційного суспільства, тобто питання про світ і суб’єкт. Мета статті – концептуалізація викладання філософії в гімназії у контексті розвитку інформаційного суспільства. Результати дослідження. Доведено, що своєрідність філософського мислення полягає у тому, що воно пов’язане з об’єктом, суб’єктом і з цілим, що охоплює їх обох. Виявлено, що в залежності від того, куди спрямований відповідний напрям мислення і що в ньому є ключовим моментом, на передній план висуває ставлення суб’єкта до самого себе. Розкрито умови формування інформаційного суспільства, яке вимагає формування інформаційно-креативної особистості, яка здатна жити і творити в даному виді суспільства, але для цього необхідно знайти свою власну сутність, власні структури і закони буття, що визначають її. The article is devoted to the review of the most significant provisions of philosophical thought in China, starting from the XIX century and up to the 40s of the XX century. The author examines the views of both Western and Chinese intellectuals who have contributed to the formation of the new or modern Confucianism main issues. One of the most important aspect is the influence of historical events that have occurred since the XIX century. For example, the two Opium Wars (...) (1840-1842 and 1856-1860) and the policy of self-isolation pursued by the Manchu court, the Qing dynasty challenged the trade interests of the European colonial powers, and the crushing defeats suffered by China during these wars marked two important phenomena: the conclusion of unequal treaties with the victorious powers and the ruling dynasties discrediting. Such circumstances forced Chinese society to pay attention to the current state of affairs and therefore ask relevant questions, even more urgent from the fact that the results of the Opium Wars changed the usual ideas of the Chinese about their statehood. As a result - China faced a crisis that needs to be overcome (some of the intellectuals in China still try to find the most comprehensive way to effectively overcome it). Gradually, a different perception of the Chinese tradition begins to take shape in the XX century. The author notices a gradual break from blind imitation of Western thought patterns to a further rethinking of the main Chinese philosophy provisions that already proceeding from the established modern discourse and the search for common points of contact in the East-West intercultural dialogue. У статті визначено особливості наукового методологічного підходу до розв’язання антропологічних проблем; показано, що проект комплементарного пізнання має визначальне значення для новітніх методологій людинознавства. Для української філософської антропології це означає реінтеграцію в смисловому полі уявлень про цілісність людського буття. Розглянуто разики методологічної гібридизації. Йдеться про надмірний інтегратизм, аматорство тощо. Виявлено межі інтеграції природознавчої та гуманітарної методологій. У контексті ідей «фундаментальної онтології» обґрунтовано, що методологічна сфера науки зараз неможлива поза концепцією смислоутворення. Проаналізовано, через які причини жодна з наук нездатна обійти присутність людського (...) буття та охопити своїм уявленням повноту його єства. Проаналізовано хибні наслідки розширеного витлумачення понять філософської антропології. Доведено, що вичерпність знань можлива лише в межах способу, який має дискурсивно-прагматичний характер. У цій статті вивчені позиції М. Гайдеггера, М. Бубера, М. Фуко та використано для визначення поняття гібридизації тощо. Це розкриває науково-дискурсивну конотацію концепції. (shrink)

In the article actualized an importance of scientific researches of nature of the deviant phenomena in church circles; also the problem of sexual crimes of modern priests is considered, as well as the questions of public relation and reaction of Church on deviant phenomena are reflected.

The term dual use technologies refers to research and technology with the potential both to yield valuable scientific knowledge and to be used for nefarious purposes with serious consequences for public health or the environment. There are two main approaches to assessing dual use technologies: pragmatic and metaphysical. A pragmatic approach relies on ethical principles and norms to generate specific guidance and policy for dual use technologies. A metaphysical approach exhorts us to the deeper study of human nature, our intentions, (...) goals, values ideals and social relations when considering dual use technology. Use of science and technology (S and T) is determined by two components of human nature: human intentions and choices. We have drawn a distinction between specific measures, goals and intentions with respect to technologies in order to show that moral judgment about technologies must precede their use. Understanding of our intentionality and values, and our moral ideals, as a measurable, tangible part of the real world is important for the prevention of any possible harm from S and T. In the context of dual use technologies, we stress the importance of three main understandings of human nature: vulnerability, responsibility and narrative identity. These can become a strong ontological “antidote” to technology’s poisoning of modern man. Each new technology can be measured and compared with man’s values, traditions and societal norms. This can be done bearing in mind the concept that human nature is not dualistic, but pluralistic. A system of ethical principles that includes the principles of good intentions, the correspondence of goals and means, the balancing of risks and benefits, simplicity, and contextuality, will help ensure that technologies are more humanistic and friendly to human beings. The article is devoted to populism as a political phenomenon and as an object of analysis in po- litical theory. The focus is on the debate around the definition of populism. The article reviews various approaches to the study of populism, particularly ideological and discursive approaches. The author also analyses populism from the point of view of the normative theory of democracy and discusses the issue whether populism is a threat to liberal democracy or a correction of it. The problem (...) of defining ‘the people’, a key populist concept, is considered separately, and it is concluded that nationalist and populist discourses essentially intersect, so it is impossible to separate them completely. The article argues for a discursive approach to populism. Populism’s primary feature is a claim to speak in the name of the people. Populism is an element of the representative demo- cracy and represents both its constant potential and a menace to it. Populism also appeals to the claim for democratic legitimacy that is a basic normative demand in modern societies. It is logi- cal to consider populism not as the essential characteristic of a political actor (party, movement, leader) who is or is not a populistic but as the aggregation of the populist repertoire, a combina- tion of its elements and their orientation. Svitlana Shkil’s article «Reception of meeting Patriarch Kirill and Pope Francis in the information space of the Russian Orthodox Church» examined reaction to a meeting of religious leaders in Havana speakers of the three trends in Russian Orthodoxy - conservatives, fundamentalists, liberals. This unprecedented event caused a wide resonance in the Russian information space of the church, caused a broad discussion on the future of Russian Orthodoxy.

This article attempts to present the dialogue between 19th – century Kyiv academic philosophers and Kant regarding the issues related to the “pedagogical paradox” formulated in his Lectures on Pedagogy. The main finding is the specific contributions made by Kyiv academics to Kant’s reasoning about education. Such a peculiarity was defined by the educational paradigm based on the requirements of the Charters of the Russian theological academies, which mandated that all philosophical doctrines be considered from the perspective of Orthodox Christian (...) dogma. This approach led to the recognition of the child’s full right to humanity, thereby reinforcing Kant’s postulate on the universal significance of education. Simultaneously, it expanded the possibilities for overcoming the contradiction of the pedagogical paradox, allowing Kyiv academic philosophers to pose a fundamental question about how to create a space of freedom in education. By acknowledging the capacity for moral freedom as inherent in the child’s nature, the strategic logic of pedagogical interaction in the reasoning of Kyiv academics shifted from Kant’s “active expectation” – where the child intellectually matures to understand moral ideas – to a logic of “interactive support,” where educators assist the child in realizing their personhood through accessible forms of moral activity. Consequently, within the context of these discussions, the theme of pedagogical creativity emerged prominently in the Kyiv philosophical and pedagogical discourse of the 19th century, underscoring the impossibility of standard solutions in a field where freedom and necessity are constantly negotiated. The topicality of the issue on communities being restructured as a result of migration processes, in particular in Europe nowadays, leads to academic discussions on identity transformations under the pressure of the migrations, as well as to integration rethinking. The approach to integration has changed significantly, and the idea of the Other as an individual or a group in need of being adjusted to the social-cultural space of We has faded away, while being substituted by the recent shift from diversity (...) to superdiversity, the nation-focused models of integration considered outdated. Integration emerges as a relation-based process aimed at communicative and discoursive discovering of the social and cultural markers disclosing the possibilities for citizens to reach social cohesion advantages, without the latter being instrumentally imposed through unifying efforts of those in power. The article dwells upon the questions, issues and conclusions of the recent discussion “Who needs integration?”; and the discoursive aspect of integration based on D- principle and migration-related aspects of its implementation has been paid due attention as well. Static and dynamic identity issues have been studied in the context of conflict-related migration situation in Ukraine. The challenges and practical discourses implying integration have been reviewed through the surveys’ data, 2017- 2019, on the protracted displacement, relations between displaced persons and host communities, tolerance and civic engagement. Post-conflict reintegration problems have been outlined in the conclusions, through the issues on “return vs. integration” choice, “red lines”, and educational means and limitations of influence on the restructured communities, – as the perspectives for further research in the framework of the study. In the article, the scenario-moulding is evaluated through the linguistic and conceptual accessibility of the future and the moral challenges of doing and allowing harm to the future participants of the practical discourses rooted in the present-centered scenarios. The viability of the scenarios is suggested to be defined by the alienation from the present and past imaginative contexts, as well as by overcoming the projections of humanity exclusiveness through inversible forecasting with the shift from human power to vulnerability as the (...) key issue in scenario-making. The eccentric approach to the future makes it possible to review both intergenerational and intragenerational perspectives of the future through the chronological distance and yet-inexistent subjects’ expectations and needs simulation. Taking to account the impact of the past, present and future otherness implies the three-dimensional assessment model involving metaphorical evaluation of the past-rooted patterns as paradise lost, illusions of the accessible futures as paradise found, and refusal of the futurized present expectations for the yetunknown imaginative future contexts as paradise conceptually postponed. The approach can find its practical application in tailoring and evaluating migration solutions and scenarios. (shrink)

Зміни в українському законодавстві щодо проходження військової служби, мобілізації та військового обліку, що набрали чинності з 18 травня 2024 року, на офіційному рівні позначили статус «громадян України, що ухиляються від взяття на військовий облік» під час дії правового режиму воєнного стану. У цій статті, у форматі мисленнєвого експерименту, запропоновано до обговорення приклад застосування концептів моральної удачі й резилієнтності до моделювання інтенціонально-каузальної структури парадоксальних ситуацій нелегальної міграції військовозобов’язаних громадян України за кордон з метою ухилення від мобілізації і уникнення ризиків, пов’язаних з (...) участю в бойових діях, що завершились загибеллю суб’єктів через вплив зовнішніх обставин під час міграції. Зважаючи на комплексний екзистенційний, соціально-філософський (міграційний), деонтичний і етичний характер проблематики, ухилення військовозобов’язаних громадян від виконання громадянського обов’язку і нелегальну міграцію під час фази ескалації війни і загальної мобілізації в умовах особливого періоду розглянуто в контексті сучасних дискусій щодо військової некрополітики, ціннісних підстав резилієнтності як відповідальності за наслідки і здатності до опору в складних умовах, а також морально-етичного контексту звинувачення і виправдання дій в умовах моральної удачі. Globalization and rapid information processes that are inherent in today's post-pandemic society, contributing to the reorganization of the authorities of many countries and their contacts with regions, local territorial units or civil society. Such changes, first of all, provide for delegation of authority at the level of regional and local authorities. However, many developing and today position their own society as post-modern, continue to be in a state of disunity of the branches of government, with a high level of corruption (...) and abuse of official position, improper distribution of resources, inappropriate tax system and incompetent provision of services by relevant authorities. This affects the relevance of studying foreign experience in building a rational, effective, balanced public administration system, the leading place in which in almost all developed countries is the decentralization of the state and, above all, the executive branch. The foreign experience of the successful implementation of decentralization reforms is investigated. The main characteristics inherent in the decentralization of power in European countries are given, including in the context of the existence of a pandemic. The features of decentralization of power in France, the UK, Germany and other countries are highlighted. It is substantiated that the experience of decentralization reforms in each country is unique and reflects the specifics of the development of a particular country, and therefore it is impractical to introduce foreign experience without taking into account the particular economic and political development of a particular country. The paper argues in favor of bioethics as an alternative to traditional medical ethics. Relations between the patient and the doctor placed in the bioethical context are considered as a part of more general, global issues: relations between clients, customers, various (including non-medical) services and the professional medical community and society in general, world-renowned scientists and the international community. Medical ethics is seen in the wider expanse of diverse economic, political and cultural relations not only in terms of responsibilities but (...) also natural rights which all people have without exception and with regard to professional identity. In contrast to traditional medical ethics, bioethics not only encourages one to reconsider the content of human morality, which is built on interpersonal relations, but also shows that disease and health are not merely medical phenomena. In this situation, paramount importance is assigned to interests of the client and society rather than medical corporations. Such a transformation of medical theory and practice requires public discussion of professional ethics issues and external regulation control. There is a need to develop ethical criteria for medical activity not only at the national but also international, or even global, levels, as well as criteria for long-term effects of highly technological professional medical practice. Bioethics expands the boundaries of professional medical ethics and ethical reflection of its normative foundations as it carries out both internal (code of ethics) and external (ethics committees and commission) “regulation” of professional practice. The purpose of bioethics is the preservation and development of life represented not only by man but also other creatures, which has never been on the agenda of medical ethics. (shrink)

Стаття присвячена аналізу соціальних чинників реалізації гендерних стереотипів владного впливу. З'ясовано сутність гендерних стереотипів як соціальної категорії, їх функціональна спрямованість. Автор аналізує гендерні схеми, що базуються на кодуванні "своїх" та "чужих", їхнє значення в пізнанні соціальної реальності, визначає роль гендерних стереотипів у продукуванні й підтримці ієрархічних взаємовідносин у суспільстві. Визначено соціальний зміст гендерних ролей, їхнє значення у виробленні суспільних моделей поведінки.

Researchers distinguish two approaches that are paradigmatic for the cluster of social theories: positivist and interpretivist. We have outlined the problematic core that contains the main differences between positivist and interpretivist sociology. In our opinion, the opposition between positivist and interpretive sociology is indicative of social theory, and we have shown the dual nature of social reality. We refuted the classification of social theories into nominalist and realist, showing that such a division does not reveal the dual nature of social (...) reality. The difference between interpretivism and positivism is that positivist sociology focuses on the study of social systems as an independent reality, while interpretive social theory thematises social reality as a socio-cultural universe, and from this perspective raises the question of social institutions. The article examines three dimensions of the interpretation of both historical and modern war events as they are perceived and undretstood at the level of official propaganda. First, it indicates that consequences of such propaganda are various manifestations of violence, and particular in many cases the emergence of repressive regimes and wars. Second, the article raises the issue of “politics of reconciliation”, the interpretive basis of which is a compromise reading of historical events by participants of conflicts or hostilities. Since (...) propaganda can affect not only interstate relations, but, above all, serve the need for domestic policy formation, the author of the article also pays attention to the interpretation of historical events within a country. In this context, the propagandists explore the idea of “positive reading of one’s own history”, i.e. they are focusing attention on those events that had a positive impact on the life of society. The other leading idea, which is used by propaganda to maintain unity in the state, is the idea of “policy of national unity.” The article concludes about the relevance of study of the phenomenon of propaganda, in particular due to new opportunities developed by modern social media. The author emphasizes the ability of propagandistic interpretations of events to disorient and engage citizens that will largely efect on which political forces a person will support in electoral races. Therefore, there is a need to develop a clear strategy for interpreting the events of history, filtering the mass media space from various manifestations of information distortion. Since its inception, the theory of modernization has undergone so many transformations that it makes sense to speak of a «modernization discourse» rather than a theory and to consider the concept itself from the point of view of social epistemology in conjunction with social imagination. This paper is devoted to substantiating this approach. The concept of modernization is interesting in this regard because it contains not only hermeneutic but also prescriptive elements: by placing society in a broader historical framework of (...) past, present and future, it creates a normative horizon for self-understanding and social transformation. It allows us to imagine our society as a historical whole, to imagine a social ideal and social development as a path towards it. At the same time, it appeals to the images of the social imagination - the social imaginary, depending on the context. A separate question, therefore, is what semantic load this concept receives when it is adopted by a different socio-cultural and political context. Such research could help to understand the internal logic of political processes in a society and its destiny. The paper consists of three subsections: the first is devoted to an overview of theories of modernization and their transformation under the influence of social epistemology; the second deals with the imagination as an anthropological a priori for considering social imagination; finally, the last subsection, which also serves as a conclusion, justifies why, given the purpose of the study, it is more appropriate to consider the concept of modernization in the context of the social imagination rather than as an ideology. The concept of ideology refers to political bias, to the question of truth and a critique of power discourse. In contrast, the concept of social imagination is politically neutral and refers to a cultural background of politics. It thus circumvents Man nheim’s paradox by being conceptualized as constitutive of a political order. (shrink)

This article focuses on the book collection whose history began in the mid-eighteenth century and despite certain losses continues nowadays 1. This is a sole known book gathering that belonged to the Ukrainian ruling dynasty and still finds itself in the possession of the family. The Counts Razumovsky, who trace their ancestry from the hetman Kyrylo Rozumovsky (1728– 1803), held first-class libraries in their Ukrainian, Russian, Austrian, and Czech estates during almost three centuries. However, it is only the Viennese collection (...) that survived the tough twentieth century and sheds light on the bookish tastes of its aristocratic proprietors. At the same time, the catalogues of 1907 and 1914 reveal the repertoire of the lost assemblages, offering a broader exploration of the family book tradition possible. The theoretical frame of the lecture refers to the contemporary memory studies with a special attention to family memory. (shrink)

У дослідженні акцентовано увагу на появу прикметної ознаки сьогодення, названої «симульованою реальністю», визначальною рисою якої є наявність «множинності реальностей», тобто незліченної кількості «реальностей», критерієм істинності яких є не достеменні знання, а довіра особи до тієї чи іншої інформації, котра і сприймається як реальність. Показано, що значною мірою ситуація «симульованої реальності» спричинена появою мас-медійного простору, який створив умови для стрімкого поширення інформації. Прояснено, що сприйнятливість особи до тих чи інших впливів, з-поміж іншого, уможливлюється через недостатність знань поза своїм фахом, використання промовцем (...) тих тверджень, що можуть захопити людей (Ґюстав Лебон) та вплив на емоції людей через використання символів, минаючи увагою конкретику (Волтер Ліпман). Убезпечення від тих чи інших впливів забезпечується, зокрема, через високий рівень освіти й прагнення отримати нову інформацію (Дж. Брайант, С. Томпсон). (shrink)

The Franco-religious scholar and Franco-philosopher still remains little known, despite the fact that his works on such issues have long been published. If in Soviet times he was considered a materialist, revolutionary-democrat, atheist, and anti-clerical, nowadays such topics are simply avoided. One of the most recent fundamental studies in the field of religious studies is the ethnology of religion. The author of the monograph and a number of publications on this topic, Lyudmila Fylypovych, states that Ivan Franko's contribution to the (...) study of ethno-religious problems is determined not only by the fact that he gave general theoretical definitions of religion, ethnicity, nation, ethno-confessionality, examined the history of ethno-confessional relations, and analysis, but also offered new methodological approaches to understanding the content and meaning of the historical process. Many scholars have already considered the interpretation of the Bible in the works of I. Franko, including Vera Sulim, Larisa Bondar, Oksana Zabuzhko and others. However, these studies touch upon some aspects of Frank's vision of the Bible, or consider individual works of thinkers written on biblical subjects, such as "Moses," "The Death of Cain," "The Legend of Pilate," etc. Let us try here to show that the work of Ivan Franko demonstrates not only a deep philosophical understanding of the (...) Bible, a new, not dogmatic reading of its ancient stories, but also an objective and scientific analysis of the knowledge about it that has accumulated in its time by world scientific criticism.
