Проблема співвідношення національного та релігійного в інтерпретації арсена річинського.P. Kralyuk - 2006 - Ukrainian Religious Studies 41:50-52.
One of the problems that interested Rychynskyy the most was the question of the role of the national moment in religious life, of the relation between national and religious. This issue was considered in one way or another in a number of his works, including "On the Manovtsi", "Problems of Ukrainian Religious Consciousness" and others. Researchers, in particular, A. Kolodny, O. Sagan, L. Kondratyk, P. Yarotsky, have paid attention to this question, analyzing A.Richinsky's creativity. The first factor is the Orthodox (...)

Love.P. M. S. Hacker - 1976 - In Robert C. Solomon, The Passions. The Myth and Nature of Human Emotions. Notre Dame, Ind.: Doubleday. pp. 265–326.
The manifold phenomena of love exhibited in diverse human societies during different periods of recorded history are rooted in biological features of human beings. The human procreative urge among women is natural to our species. Maternal love is rooted in mammalian nature. The ideal love of a mother for her child is a common transcultural paradigm of selflessness. This chapter first examines the biological roots of love and subsequently to the social constraints within which its various forms are possible. It (...)

    Recombination in the eukaryotic nucleus.P. J. Hastings - 1988 - Bioessays 9 (2-3):61-64.
Mitotic recombination is a repair process which is known to repair double strand breaks and to fill double‐strand gaps by copying a homologous sequence. Meiotic recombination is a process of heteroduplex formation which sometimes generates crossovers. Evidence is presented that the later stages of meiotic recombination have some characteristics of mitotic repair recombination, leading to the conclusion that mismatch repair may be a recombinogenic repair process. The evidence suggests that the recombinational repair process generates hetero‐duplex bubbles which can move. Some (...)

  18. Generic incomparability of infinite-dimensional entangled states.P. R. Holland - unknown
In support of a recent conjecture by Nielsen (1999), we prove that the phenomena of ‘incomparable entanglement’— whereby, neither member of a pair of pure entangled states can be transformed into the other via local operations and classical communication (LOCC)—is a generic feature when the states at issue live in an infinite-dimensional Hilbert space.  2002 Elsevier Science B.V. Reimbursement Decision-Making and Prescription Patterns of Glitazones in Treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients in Denmark.P. B. Iversen & H. Vondeling - 2006 - Health Care Analysis 14 (2):79-89.
There are marked differences between countries with regard to reimbursement decision-making, yet few studies have tried to understand this process and its consequences by a detailed analysis of the local context and decision-making structure. This article describes reimbursement decision-making and subsequent prescribing patterns of new pharmaceuticals by means of a case study on glitazones in treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients in Denmark. The study shows that institutional arrangements, providing the context in which evidence is used, are highly important (...)

On Principles of Creative Upbringing and Training of Contemporary Youth.P. L. Kapitsa - 1972 - Russian Studies in Philosophy 10 (4):299-315.
Petr Leonidovich Kapitsa, world-renowned physicist, often turns to themes that at first glance seem far removed from the sphere of his basic scientific interests. He is the author of numerous articles and papers on problems of the development of science and the organization of scientific work . Many have read with interest his remarkable recollections of Rutherford, published in Novy mir.

    Two problems in Martial.P. Watson & L. Watson - 1996 - Classical Quarterly 46 (02):586-.
‘Some of Martial's shortest epigrams are also the obscurest’, observes P. T. Eden, apropos of 1.102. This two-line poem has certainly generated a remarkable diversity of interpretations. All the critics are agreed that the portrait of Venus owned by the courtesan Lycoris is in some way botched or unattractive, but, beyond this, their explanations differ widely.

Social interoception functions and the global body data market.P. N. Baryshnikov & M. N. Atakuev - forthcoming - Philosophical Problems of IT and Cyberspace.
The body-oriented approach in the philosophy of cognitive sciences is gaining in importance in the conditions of the formation of new high-tech contexts. The problem of interoception and integration of bodily data into socio-economic processes requires a comprehensive analysis and ethical assessment. This article examines the conceptual foundations of the body-oriented approach and its impact on the essence of cognitive processes. The main advantages and disadvantages of this approach are presented. We consider the methodological conflict zones of the bodily paradigm (...)

Social power is usually explained as an actor's ability to influence the behavior of other persons, e.g., by applying sanctions. This paper focuses upon a much less well-known and rather different form of social power: the power to influence the underlying motivation of other actors rather than just their behavior. Power over the motivation of another person concerns not only the goals of the other person but also her wants and preferences. Thus, in contrast to behavior-oriented power, motivation-oriented power induces (...)

  32. 2 sides of the Kantian justification of property and state.P. Baumann - 1994 - Kant Studien 85 (2):147-159.
Kant's political philosophy in general is characterized by two aspects which sometimes compete with each other and sometimes supplement each other: an individualist element on the one hand and a social or "communitarian" element on the other hand. This paper deals with Kant's theory of private property. It attempts to show something that is usually overlooked in the secondary literature: that Kant has two, not just one argument for property. One is based on his theory of freedom and expresses the (...)
