How can digitised assets of Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums be reused to unlock new value? What are the implications of viewing large-scale cultural heritage data as an economic resource, to build new products and services upon? Drawing upon valuation studies, we reflect on both the theory and practicalities of using mass-digitised heritage content as an economic driver, stressing the need to consider the complexity of commercial-based outcomes within the context of cultural and creative industries. However, we also problematise the (...) act of considering such heritage content as a resource to be exploited for economic growth, in order to inform how we consider, develop, deliver and value mass-digitisation. Our research will be of interest to those wishing to understand a rapidly changing research and innovation landscape, those considering how to engage memory institutions in data-driven activities and those critically evaluating years of mass-digitisation across the heritage sector. This study statistically analyzes two-year college students' attitudes toward cheating via a survey containing academic and business situations that the students evaluated on a seven point scale from unethical to ethical. When both the general questions concerning attitudes about cheating and the opinions on the ethical statements are considered, the business students were generally more unethical in their behavior and attitudes than non-business majors. These results indicate a need for more ethical exposure in business courses to help students distinguish ethical (...) from unethical decisions. (shrink)

Cytotoxic lymphocytes play a central role in immune inflammatory responses against tumour cells, viruses and cells transplanted or infected with intracellular bacteria. The pivotal importance of lymphocytes in each of these immune responses has justified our continued interest in their cytotoxic function. Recent studies of cytotoxic lymphocytes have involved the characterisation of recognition structures on cytotoxic lymphocytes and the definition of two mechanisms of cytotoxicity. In contrast to normal cell death, which occurs during embryonic development and the formation and death (...) of hematopoietic cell lineages, lymphocyte‐mediated cytotoxicity occurs in the context of an inflammatory response and the dying cells are lysed into the surroundings rather than phagocytosed. The roles of the two different forms of lymphocyte‐mediated cytotoxicity are quite distinct; however they both involve induction of an endogenous pathway of apoptosis in the targeted cell, and they do share features with all other forms of physiological cell death. La section narrative de bien des anaphores anciennes, latines principalement mais pas uniquement, reposait sur une structure tripartite. Elles présentaient une action de grâce au Père pour l’envoi de son Fils, pour la Passion rédemptrice et pour l’adoption divine. Cette section christologique est l’héritage des élaborations théologiques les plus anciennes qui trouvent place dans le Nouveau Testament. Ces formules, malgré des relents de subordinatianisme, ont réussi à se frayer une place dans les Sacramentaires francs, bien que ces derniers appartiennent à (...) une époque qui avait abandonné depuis longtemps le rôle de médiateur au profit de l’affirmation exclusive de sa divinité transcendante. Les traditions liturgiques résistent durablement, par comparaison avec les changements théologiques. Les plus anciennes prières, obstinément offertes au seul Père, le Dieu un et unique, par le Christ son envoyé, étaient élaborées à une époque où la notion de consubstantialité du Fils au Père était encore loin d’être pensée. We argue that constructive maximality [P. Martin-Löf, Notes on Constructive Mathematics, Almqvist and Wicksell, Stockholm, 1970] can with advantage be employed in the study of maximal point spaces, and related questions in quantitative domain theory. The main result concerns partial metrizability of ω-continuous domains.
