Open peer commentary on the article “Beyond Technocentrism: Supporting Constructionism in the Classroom” by Karen Brennan. Upshot: Brennan describes ways by which teachers can be supported to bypass a technocentric view of learning with technology in the classroom, from a constructionist perspective. She reports on the development of a corresponding model of professional development by describing the elements of the model and its design principles as well as the tensions that arose while trying to support teachers’ explorations and experiences in (...) the classroom. The aim of this article is to offer what I consider to be necessary substantiati for the view that the description of the walk which acts as a frame for the singing contest in Id. 7 is based on a precise knowledge of the geography of t island of Cos and that the poem thus displays a topographical realism unique Greek pastoral.

It is usual to read nomina, with which three interpretations are possible. The stronger arrogates to himself the titles of moderation and justice. So in the excellent Rumanian translation of 1871 by Gavrilu J. Munteanu: ‘Cându are sâ decida pumnulu, celu mai tare si atribue titlu de moderatu şi de onestu.’.

The aim of the essay is to analyze the passages of the Cartesian oeuvre which could be related to the problem of other minds. After a brief presentation of the problem and what is known as the argument from analogy, we show that what we will call the automata passage is not an acknowledgement of the problem. Next, we raise a way of generating the problem, to show how it could be approached from Descartes’s works.

L'article montre le profond rapport humain, théologique et spirituel qui existe entre ces deux grands esprits de la théologie du dix-neuvième siècle. Il met en évidence (...) le rapport ininterrompu qui va des années 33-37 à Lyon jusqu'au lien de toute une vie qui unit von Balthasar à son très cher «maître et ami», Henri de Lubac. L'essai met aussi en lumière les points saillants sur lesquels l'influence théologique de de Lubac apparaît plus évidente dans la configuration de la symphonie théologique de von Balthasar. (shrink)
