Kur’ân’da mescid kavramı daha çok Mescid-i Haram bağlamında gündeme gelmekte ve yeryüzünde kurulan ilk evin/maʿbedin Ka’be olduğu ifade edilmektedir. Mescidler, Mescid-i Haram gibi güven, huzur, istikrar veren özgün yapılardır. Mescidler; terbiye, eğitim, irşâd, tefekkür, birlik ve beraberlik, dayanışma, yardımlaşma vurguları ile toplumun sosyal açıdan gelişmesini sağlar. İslâm tarihinde camilerin ifa ettiği vazifeler, İslâm dininin diğer muharref dinler gibi dinle dünya işlerinin arasını ayırmadığını, dini kalbe hapsetmediğini göstermektedir. Hz. Peygamber ve sahabeler döneminde mescidler çok amaçlı mekânlar olarak kullanılmaktaydı. Mescidlerin Hz. Peygamber (...) dönemindeki fonksiyonelliğini kaybetmesi toplum üzerindeki etkinliğini zayıflatmıştır. Mescidler günümüzde sosyal etkinliklerle canlı duruma getirilmeli ve öyle ki mescidler/camiler hayat olmalıdır. Makalemizde mescid kavramın Kur’ân ve hadislerdeki yeri, önemi, işlevi incelenecek ve mescidlerin tarihsel serüveni ve fonksiyonları hakkında bilgi verilecektir. Çalışmamız, ülkemizde camilerin asli fonksiyonlarına dönmesi ve toplumsal alanda etkinliğinin arttırılması hedeflemektedir. Bunun için yapılması gereken bazı iyileştirme faaliyetleri üzerinde durulacak ve çözüm önerileri sunulacaktır. (shrink)

This study aims to develop a valid and reliable scale to assess whether a physician is inclined to take conscientious objection when asked to perform medical services that clash with his/her personal beliefs. The scale, named the Inclination toward Conscientious Objection Scale, was developed for physicians in Turkey. Face validity, content validity, criterion-related validity, and construct validity of the scale were evaluated in the development process. While measuring criterion-related validity, Student’s t-test was used to identify the groups that did and (...) did not show inclination toward conscientious objection. There were 126 items in the initial item pool, which reduced to 42 after content validity evaluation by five experts. After necessary adjustments, the scale was administered to 224 participants. Both exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were performed to investigate factor structure. The split-half method was employed to assess scale reliability, and the Spearman-Brown coefficient was calculated. Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient was used to estimate the internal consistency of the scale items. The distinctiveness of the items was evaluated using Student’s t-test. The lower and upper 27% groups were compared to assess the distinctiveness of the scale. The items were loaded on four factors that explained 85.46% of the variance: “Conscientious Objection – Medical Profession Relationship,” “Conscientious Objection in Medical Education and Medical Practice,” “Conscientious Objection with regard to the Concept of Rights” and “Conscientious Objection – Physician’s Professional Identity and Role.” The final scale has 40 items, and was found to be valid and reliable with high internal consistency. Konvansiyonel finans kurumları bu ihtiyaçlarının büyük kısmını repo-ters repo işlemleri ile karşılarken katılım finans kurumları ise faiz şüphesi nedeniyle repo-ters repo katılım bankacılığı ilkelerine uymadığı için bu ihtiyaçları karşılama konusunda problemler yaşamaktadır. Bu durum konvansiyonel finans kurumları ile rekabet halindeki katılım finans kurumları aleyhine işlemektedir. Bu makale repo işlemini ana hatlarıyla açıklayıp fıkhi boyutunu izah ettikten sonra Malezya’daki geri alım vaadi ile satım, Türkiye’deki (...) geri alım vaadi ile satım, organize teverruk, menkul kıymet rehinli karz sözleşmesi ve puantaj sistemi ile tekaruz anlaşması gibi halihazırda İslam dünyasında katılım finans kurumlarının repoya alternatif olarak uyguladıkları işlemleri ele almaktadır. Öte yandan bu çalışma kira sertifikalarının geri alım vaadi ile satımı, yatırım fonları, kira sertifikalarının alım satımı ile teverruk işlemi için katılım finans ilkelerine uygun bir pazar kurulması ve devlet destekli karz-ı hasen fonlarının kurulması gibi katılım finans kurumları adına repoya alternatif olarak düşünülen öneriler üzerinde yoğunlaşmaktadır. Along with Sahîh-i Bukhari, many commentaries and memoirs have been made on Sahîh-i Muslim, which is accepted as the most reliable source of hadith and consists of sound narrations. Among the commentaries written today, the comprehensive commentary, which is a product of labor that cannot be ignored and stands out whit some features, is Ethiopian scholar Mohammed b. The commentary of Ali al-İtyubî’s Sahîh-i Muslim commentary on al-Bahru’l-muhît and his holy book is Kurratü ayni’l-muhtâc. This article aims to briefly introduce (...) İtyûbî with his educational life and Works, the method he followed in his annotations, the sources he used, his reports that do not require many works, his criticisms and evaluations, his perspective, his world of thought, and to reveal and evaluate his different approaches and ideas on certain subjects. Reaching 47 volumes together with the Commentary on the Muqaddima, the work has the feature of being the widest commentary of Sahîh-I Muslim. By transmitting the information in the previous works in a compact and collective manner, he did not leave the need to apply to them, and he made the hadiths easier to understand whit the memzuc method that explains word by word. The extensive interpretation of hadiths, the mention of different narrations, and the fact that the judgments derived from hadiths are regarded as material are some of the issues that make commentary important. This article aims to briefly introduce İtyûbî with his educational life and works, the method he followed in his commentaries, the resources he used, his transmissions that do not reguire many works, his criticisms and evalua-tions, his perspective, his world of thought, and to reveal and evaluate his different approaches and ideas on certain subjects. This study is an investigation of the views of medical students (N=15) and physicians (N=14), in Turkey, on conscientious objection through elaboration on their experiences in medical practice within the framework of conscientious objection, and evaluation of the data from an ethical perspective. The data received from in‐depth interviews were evaluated by using the thematic content analysis method. They were then divided into contexts and themes as follows: “Refusal to provide healthcare services,” “scope of conscientious objection,” and “impact of conscientious (...) objection (in case of legal entitlement).” The opinions of our research participants suggest that conscientious objection has become widespread in medical practices. It is argued that the tendency of healthcare providers and patients to find temporary resolutions to ethical dilemmas only complicates such resolutions. It is imperative, therefore, to set a rational limit on conscientious objection so as to prevent the adoption of an attitude shaped completely by the personal beliefs of the physician or the patient. The present study examines the development of complex sentences with non-finite clause combining with particular focus on clause chaining, in narratives of 40 Turkish-speaking 4- to 11-year-olds and six adults elicited by a wordless picture book. Results show a gradual increase by age in the variety of clauses combined, the length of the complex sentences and their frequency of use. Clause chains formed with converbal clauses are the earliest and most frequent type of clause combinations, already present in 4-year-olds’ complex (...) sentences with 1-non-finite clause. Older children’s and adults’ 2- or 3-non-finite clause complex sentences consist of some combinations of adverbial, complement, relative and converbal clauses. Developmentally, clause chains establish first, aspectual-temporal continuity, then temporal-causal continuity. Sentence-internal and cross-sentence-boundary referential continuities are present early, from age 4 onwards. These findings are discussed in terms of the demands of narrative organization as well as the syntactic and semantic complexity of the clause combination devices in Turkish. (shrink)

The Prophet forbade the visit to the grave to everyone, men and women, in the early years of Islam, as it would lead to inconvenient consequences and cause a number of prohibitions. Scholars are in agreement on this issue. Because at that time, many traditions of ignorance, especially polytheism, were still alive. The Arabs committed acts that led to polytheism in the graves, said bad words, cried shouting, lamented, and boasted about the dead in the graves. Since women are more (...) prone to these negative behaviors, the Prophet specifically forbade them from visiting and made statements containing heavy threats. Most of the scholars later said that the ban was lifted because the commandments and prohibitions of Islam were thoroughly adopted and started to be applied, while some of the people of tabiin argued that the ban continued. And those who say that the ban has been lifted it is divided into two, one part said that it is for all men and women, the other part however, said that the ban has been lifted only for men and continues for women. In this article, first of all, the narrations of the Prophet that encourage the visit to the grave, stating that he and his companions personally visited the grave, will be transmitted and evaluated. Later, the seemingly contradictory narrations that prohibit visiting the grave for women and again state that their visit is not forbidden will be examined, different opinions, sectarian, fiqhi disputes and interpretations put forward to this day about visiting the grave will be transmitted one by one, and will be evaluated by considering the evidences and the reasons. Bu çalışmada modern bireyin kendini var etme çabası bağlamında çağ getirisi olarak karşılaştığı problemler, zorunluluklar ve değer yargıları ele alınmıştır. Türkiye özelinde bireyin kendisiyle çatışması, aidiyeti, yaşam biçimi, ahlâkî problemleri ve modern dönemde oluşan dikotomilerden olan kent-taşra ve gelenek-modernite ilişkisi incelenmiştir. Aşırı bireycilik, modernite ile birlikte geleneksel değerlerin önemsizleşmesi ve tüketim odaklı anlık yaşam tarzına geçilmesinin neticesinde oluşan ait olma hissinin kaybı, vicdan ve ahlâk kavramlarının bireylerdeki karşılığı ile birlikte işlenmiştir. Bu çerçevede ahlâk meselesi odak noktayı teşkil etmektedir. Modern iletişim (...) çağında sinema, yaşamın gerçeklerini yansıtma konusunda önemli bir araç haline gelmiştir. Film odaklı sosyal hayat incelemeleri bu doğrultuda önemlidir. Makalede Türkiye’de temelde yaşanan değişim ve dönüşümlerin bireydeki etkileri, modern çağda sosyal hayat, eğitim, din, meslek ve aile mevzuları, Ahlat Ağacı filmi üzerinden irdelenmiştir. Film senaryosu, senaristlerinden biri ve Nuri Bilge Ceylan’ın amcasının oğlu olan Akın Aksu’nun hikayesi üzerine yazılmıştır. Nuri Bilge Ceylan, filmlerinde insan doğasını ve toplumsal sorunları derinlemesine işlemektedir. Gerçekliği filmlerinde doğrudan, birçok yön ve detayıyla göstermeye çalışmaktadır. Ceylan’ın filmleri üst-kurguya sahip eleştirel filmlerdir. Ahlat Ağacı da tüketim toplumunu, kapitalist yaşam biçimini ve bireydeki yansımalarını ince bir alay ve ironi ile sergilediği uzun soluklu yapıtlarındandır. Film, Sinan’ın kendini arama serüveninde karşılaştığı karakterler ile kurduğu ilişkiler doğrultusunda analiz edilmiştir. Nuri Bilge Ceylan’ın filmde yalnızca modernitenin izlerine değil, post-modernitenin sorunlarına da cesurca değindiği ve eleştirilerini de diyaloglarla apaçık şekilde sunduğu görülmüştür. Yapıt, post-modern dönemde çekilmiş ve Türkiye’nin toplumsal sorunlarıyla birlikte çağa ait problemlere de değinmiştir. Bireylerin moderniteyle birlikte kendilik süreçlerinde bağsız, süreksiz ve parçalı yaşam biçimine sürüklenmesi kimlik bunalımlarına sebep olmuştur. Bu durum kişisel olmakla birlikte toplumsal hafızaya müdahaleyi de ifade etmektedir. Taşradan kente geçişte izleri zamanla bulanıklaşsa da gelenek ve modernite ikiliği göze çarpmaktadır. Çalışmada bu bireysel değişimle birlikte aile ve toplumda gerçekleşen değişiklikler de incelenmiştir. Modernite ile artan hızlı yaşam zorunluluğu ve güncelden geri kalmanın oluşturduğu bunalımlar ele alınmıştır. Bireyin davranışlarında kararsız, sıkışmış ve yalnız hissetmesi son yüzyılda belirginleşmiştir. Bu bağlamda Ahlat Ağacı’nda başkarakter Sinan’ın yalnızlığı, taşra ve kent, hayalleri ve hayat şartları arasında sıkışmışlığı da taşradan kaçmasıyla başlamış ve taşrada kendini bulmasıyla sonuçlanmıştır. Kendi gerçekliğinden kaçarak tekrar taşraya babasının kaldığı yere dönen Sinan karakterinde değişim içinde süreklilik perspektifi görülmektedir. (shrink)

Becoming productive with grammatical categories is a gradual process in children's language development. Here, we investigated this transition process by focusing on Turkish causatives. Previous research examining spontaneous and elicited production of Turkish causatives with familiar verbs attested the onset and early stages of productivity at ages 2 to 3 (Aksu-Koç & Slobin, 1985; Nakipoğlu, Uzundag, & Sarıgül, 2021). So far, however, we know very little about children's understanding of causatives with novel verbs. In the present study, we asked: (...) (a) When does the generalization of causative morphology in a novel context emerge? and (b) What role does child-directed input play in this development? To answer the first question, we conducted comprehension-judgment experiments with children aged 2;6–6;11 using pseudo-verbs (Study 1 & 2). Results showed that children preferred the Turkish causative suffix -DIr over an unrelated or no suffix to denote caused events earliest at age 4;10. To answer the second question, we analyzed child-directed speech from a longitudinal corpus of Turkish language acquisition (Study 3). Results showed that when addressing children younger than age 3, caregivers used the -DIr suffix with little variation considering the overall variability of verbs they could utter. Overall, these findings suggest that productivity with morphological causatives in a novel context emerges in a later stage of acquisition. This later development might partly be accounted for by the insufficient variation of morphological causatives in the early input. (shrink)

İbrahim Aczî Kendi, 1882-1965 yılları arasında yaşamış, iyi bir eğitim almış, devlet kadrolarında memurluk, müdürlük ve öğretmenlik gibi birçok görevlerde bulunmuştur. Aczî 1936 yılında, 34 yıl süren hizmetinin ardından, emekliye ayrılarak kendisini kültürel değerlerin araştırılmasına ve bu değerlerin gelecek nesillere aktarılmasına adamıştır. Hayatının son demlerine değin bu ülkü uğrunda çok gayret sarf etmiş ve bu çerçevede birçok eser kaleme almıştır. Eserlerinde özellikle Mevlânâ Celâleddîn-i Rûmî’ye (öl. 672/1273) özel bir önem verdiği ve çalışmalarını onun Mesnevî adlı eseri üzerine yoğunlaştırdığı görülmektedir. Kendisinin (...) ve önemli bazı tarihî şahsiyetlerin hayatını konu edinmiş olan Aczî, eserlerinde muasır bazı yazarlara ve onların çalışmalarına yönelik eleştirilere de yer vermiştir. Ayrıca Türkçe, Arapça ve Farsça şiirler kaleme almıştır. O, toplumun içinde bulunduğu koşulları, gelenek ve görenekleri araştırmalarda bulunduğu, görev yaptığı yerler çerçevesinde ortaya koymuş; on dokuzuncu ve yirminci yüzyılda meydana gelen değişim ve dönüşüm hareketlerine bizâtihi şahit olmuş ve bu olaylar karşısında kendi düşüncesini ifade etmekten geri durmamıştır. İbrahim Aczî, çocukluk döneminden itibaren duygularını şiirleri aracılığıyla ifade etmiş, genç neslin Türk kültür ve değerlerini unutmaması için elinden geldiğince genç kuşakları kültürel değerlerle tanıştırmaya gayret etmiştir. Bu çerçeveden bakıldığında Aczî’nin kendisine önemli bir misyon edindiği söylenebilir. Folklor alanına katkı sağlamış, döneminin panoramasını yansıtmak suretiyle de bulunduğu coğrafyaya ilişkin önemli veriler sunmuştur. Aczî hakkında günümüze kadar yapılan çalışmalarda onun hayatı ve eserlerine yüzeysel bir şekilde değinildiği, hatta bu çalışmalardaki bilgilerin birbirlerinin tekrarı olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Yaptığı çalışmalarda İbrahim Aczî’nin kısmen de olsa bibliyografyasına yer veren ilk isim Cahit Öztelli’dir. Daha sonra Mehmet Ali Uz, Öztelli’nin tespit ettiği bibliyografyaya birkaç eser daha eklemek suretiyle yeni bir yazı kaleme almıştır. Öztelli ve Uz tarafından ortaya konulan bu araştırmalar, kendilerinden sonra yapılan diğer çalışmalara örnek teşkil etmiş, hatta bazıları tarafından aynıyla tekrarlanmıştır. Ancak söz konusu çalışmalar da İbrahim Aczî’nin bibliyografyasını tam anlamıyla yansıtmamaktadır. Bu yönüyle çalışmamız, bibliyografyasında eksiklik olduğu tespit edilen İbrahim Aczî Kendi ile ilgili literatür taraması yapmayı ve onun kapsamlı bir bibliyografyasını ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Makalenin giriş kısmında İbrahim Aczî’nin bibliyografyasına ilişkin yapılan çalışmalar değerlendirilmiş, onun hayatı ile ilgili kısaca bilgi verilmiş ve sonraki bölümde Aczî’nin tespit edilen bibliyografyası sunulmuştur. Böylece Aczî’nin eserleri, çeşitli gazete ve dergilerde yer alan tefrika ve makaleleri ile diğer yazarlar tarafından onun hayatı ve eserleri ile ilgili yapılan çalışmalar ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır.
