The purpose of this research is to proving empirically correlation between self management with double role conflict at educational institution of Primagama Yogyakarta. Hypothesis of this research is there any negative correlation between self management with double role at woman career in educational institution of Primagama Yogyakarta. Participants in this research are woman career in educational institution of Primagama Yogyakarta with characteristic are married, have children, with sample accumulated was 32, from 35 person woman employee in Primagama. The purpose of this research is to describe the work stress level of psychiatric nurse and to find out the difference of work stress between the temperaments of psychiatric nurse. According to Robbins (1996), stress is a dynamic condition where an individual is confronted with and opportunity, constraints and demands that related with a person desire and the result was percept as unpredictable and important matter. Constraints and demands in this research are specialized in work environment. One of the factors (...) which influence work stress is temperament. Allport defined temperament as the dispositions of one’s behavior that are closely linked to biological or physiological determinants (Hall, Lindzey, & Campbell, 1988). Hippocrates and Galenus categorized temperament into four groups (Chole, Melanchole, Phlegma, Sanguis). The data for this particular research was collected from 83 psychiatric nurses. The result indicates that there is a significant difference on work stress between temperaments on psychiatric nurse. Sanguine nurses have the highest work stress level and choleric nurses have the lowest work stress level.  . (shrink)

Smoking behavior and personality type are two things that have strong connection to stress intensity. In this research toward 98 students of Tarumanagara University was found that there is no correlation between stress intensity and smoking behavior intensity r s (98) = 0,108, p > 0.05. The correlation between personality type and stress intensity is significant enough r s (98) = 0,215p < 0.05. The final objective of this research is to know whether stress intensity has a correlation with smoking (...) behavior intensity, while personality type is being controlled (by separating Type A and Type B). The result indicated that there is no correlation between stress and smoking behavior neither for Type A personality r s (24) = 0,210, p > 0.05 nor for Type B personality r s (27) = -0,238, p . 0.05. Every person always experiences life changes. Positive or negative life changes cause stress. Retirement represents one of life changes which can cause stress. Stress is an organism’s phyciological and psychological responses that can cause unpleasant situation and make mental and emotional dysfunction. Resilient people are more to see changes as opportunity to grow rather than as stressors. Resiliency is the ability to bounce back quickly from misfortune and successfully adapt in a smart way to adverse with more power. This quantitative (...) research represents a non-experimental method using questionnaires with Likert scale as the instrument to find correlation between resiliency and stress in the preparatory phase of retirement. Study of sementics with reference to Mimamsa philosophy and Sanskrit poetics.

This research was made to see the different level of Self efficacy of managers based on their style of management conflict. Sample (N=90) was taken from non probability sampling technique. Data was collected from questioner of 90 participants and analyzed by using oneway anova from program SPSS12.0. The results shows F (2,237) = p 0,091, p>0, 05, which there is no difference level of self efficacy on the managers based on their style of management conflict.

The aimed of this study is to examine the differences of level desensitization of violence and stress tolerance based on demographic factors, that is sex and educational level. The participants are 46 teachers (26 males and 20 females) at Nanggroe Aceh Darrussalaam (NAD). Data were collected by using interview and filling the scale to measure the level of violence desensitization and stress tolerance. Two ways ANOVA is used to analyze the data. The result indicated that there are no significant differences (...) between men and women in the level of desensitization of violence ( F= 0,22, p >0,05). Abstrak : Penilitian ini berusaha mencari concurrent validity dari metapor pemaknaan organsasi diukur nilai dasar kerja seseorang. Metapor pemaknaan organisasi diukur dengan cara kualitatif yaitu meminta orang untuk menyampaikan ekspresi perasaannya tentang perusahaan dalam bentuk gambar dan ungkapan lisan atau tulisan, sedangkan pengukur nilai dasar kerja menggunakan alat ukur Nilai Kerja (PVQ) dari Schwartz (2001). Sampel penilitian ditetapkan secara purposif yaitu karyawan PT. Pembangkit Jawa Bali sejumlah 129 yang sedang mengikuti pelatihan manajemen dasar pada tahun anggaran 2004. Analisis fenomenologi (...) terhadap metapor pemaknaan organisasi digunakan sebagai metode eksplorasi yang akan menghasilkan dan interpretasi dari pengalaman-pengalaman tersebut. Depremler, ani ve beklenmedik doğası ile bireylerin hayatlarını derinden etkileyen travmatik olaylardır. Bu tür olaylar, bireylerde ciddi psikolojik sorunlara yol açabilir. Deprem sonrası travmatik stres bozukluğu en yaygın görülen sorunlardan biridir. Bu bağlamda, bireylerin dini başa çıkma stratejileri kullanarak bu stresle nasıl başa çıktıkları ve bu stratejilerin psikolojik iyi oluşlarına nasıl etki ettiği bu çalışmanın ana konusunu oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın kapsamı, deprem sonrası travmatik belirtilerin şiddetini belirlemek, dini başa çıkma stratejilerinin kullanımını değerlendirmek ve bu stratejilerin psikolojik iyi oluş üzerindeki etkilerini (...) incelemekle sınırlıdır. Bu araştırmanın amacı, deprem sonrası travmaya maruz kalan bireylerin dini başa çıkma stratejilerini nasıl kullandıklarını anlamak ve bu stratejilerin psikolojik iyi oluşlarına olan etkilerini analiz etmektir. Ayrıca, ulaşılan sonuçlar doğrultusunda travma sonrası psikolojik destek ve müdahale programlarının geliştirilmesine katkı sağlanması hedeflenmektedir. Bu amaçla, travma düzeylerinin ölçülmesi ve dini başa çıkma stratejilerinin etkinliğinin incelenmesi, bireylerin iyileşme süreçlerinin daha iyi anlaşılmasına yardımcı olacaktır. Nicel araştırma desenlerinden korelasyonel araştırma yönteminin kullanıldığı çalışma kapsamında, Kahramanmaraş merkezli bölgede depreme maruz kalmış 323 katılımcı üzerinden veriler toplanmıştır. Katılımcıların demografik bilgilerini, travmatik belirtilerini, dini başa çıkma stratejilerini ve genel psikolojik iyi oluş düzeylerini değerlendirmek için çeşitli ölçekler kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizi sırasında ANOVA, korelasyon ve t testi gibi istatistiksel teknikler kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulguları, deprem mağdurlarının travmatik belirtilerin şiddetinde kritik eşiği aştıklarını ortaya koymaktadır. Depremzedelerin psikolojik iyi oluş düzeyleri, genellikle orta seviyelerde seyretmektedir. Evlerin hasar durumu ile deprem sonrası yaşanan travmatik belirtiler arasında ise güçlü bir ilişki bulunmuştur; evleri ağır hasar gören bireylerin travma belirtileri daha yüksek düzeyde olup, bu durum depremden sonraki psikolojik etkileri artırmaktadır. Ancak, psikolojik iyi oluş ve dini başa çıkma stratejileri ile evlerin hasar durumu arasında belirgin bir ilişki bulunamamıştır. Bu bulgular, dini başa çıkma stratejilerinin bireylerin psikolojik iyi oluşu üzerindeki etkisinin sınırlı olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Araştırmada, pozitif dini başa çıkma stratejilerinin bireylerin psikolojik iyi oluş düzeylerini bir miktar artırdığı gözlemlenmiş olsa da, bu etkinin güçlü olmadığı anlaşılmaktadır. Özellikle pozitif dini başa çıkma yöntemlerinin, bireylerin travmatik belirtilerini azaltmada sınırlı bir etkiye sahip olduğu görülmüştür. Negatif dini başa çıkma stratejilerinin ise, bireylerin psikolojik iyi oluşunu olumsuz etkilediği ve travmatik belirtileri artırdığı belirlenmiştir. Bu bulgular, travma sonrası stres yönetiminde dini başa çıkma stratejilerinin sınırlı etkisini vurgulamakta ve psikolojik destek programlarının önemini ön plana çıkarmaktadır. (shrink)

In the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae three positive transcriptional control elements are activated by stress conditions: heat shock elements (HSEs), stress response elements (STREs) and AP‐1 responsive elements (AREs). HSEs bind heat shock transcription factor (HSF), which is activated by stress conditions causing accumulation of abnormal proteins. STREs mediate transcriptional activation by multiple stress conditions. They are controlled by high osmolarity via the HOG signal pathway, which comprises a MAP kinase module and a two‐component system homologous to prokaryotic signal (...) transducers. AREs bind the transcription factor Yap1p. The three types of control elements seem to have overlapping, but distinct functions. Some stress proteins encoded by HSE‐regulated genes are necessary for growth of yeast under moderate stress, products of STRE‐activated genes appear to be important for survival under severe stress and ARE‐controlled genes may mainly function during oxidative stress and in the response to toxic conditions, such as caused by heavy metal ions.
