Relationship Maintenance pada Pasangan Pernikahan Dini Dalam Penyelesaian Konflik Rumah Tangga (Studi Kasus Masyarakat Desa Sangiang Kec. Wera Kabupaten Bima NTB)

Abstract

Marriage is very important for human life and is recognized in every culture or society, both in cities and rural areas. Seeing that early marriages are still rampant in Indonesia with various backgrounds, early marriage couples have many risks, such as a lack of emotional stability caused by immature age, making communication between husband and wife difficult to manage and causing domestic violence. This research aims to determine Relationship Maintenance and Interpersonal Communication carried out by married couples who enter into early marriage. The focus of this research explains when faced with contradictions, differences in the forms of communication that occur in everyday life with the aim of maintaining and maintaining the commitment that has been built between partners. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach with data collection through in-depth interviews and documentation. In this research, the research subjects were early married couples with a marriage age of 3-5 years who had different backgrounds. It was found that several subject couples fell into categories according to the 4 concepts of Relationship Maintenance, namely Relationship maintenance involves maintaining a relationship that is in the process of repair. With Exchange Theory (Social Exchange Theory) with 3 elements, namely reward, sacrifice and profit to influence each other. So therefore Maintaining a relationship in an early marriage is not an easy thing, good communication is needed so that you can accept and understand the situation of each partner.
