We have entered a 21st century where people, rather than uniting across borders and daring to feel an affinity with the other ̶ bridging ethnic and national differences ̶ are now increasingly vulnerable, exposed to fragmenting movements often set in motion by leaders driven by egocentric values and self-interests pursued at the expense of the well-being of minorities and those occupying a lower level in the social hierarchy. While regionalism, nationalism and authoritarianism appear to be rising divisive movements triggered by (...) such destabilising sociopolitical trends, within regionalism we can find examples of positive collaborations. Such is the case with Latin America today; a region which demonstrates a people coming together in a spirit of solidarity and creativity. Regionalism can in this case be inwardly advantageous. In a world characterised by personal disengagement and apathy, Latin America along with its indigenous communities uphold national values in a spirit of mutual comprehension on a communal level. Throughout history, these nations have been subjected to totalitarian regimes and hostile policies that disrupt societal structures. As a result, Latin American communities have developed resilience and a sense of hope deeply embedded in regional values. Its rich and diverse cinema reflects nations that despite all their uncertainties, differences, struggles and discontents have been showing the way forward. Drawing on Zygmunt Bauman, Kwame Anthony Appiah, and Richard A. Abstract -/- *I Just Wanted to Dance with Dionysus* is a Gonzo autoethnographic exploration of madness, addiction, homelessness, and the search for spiritual wholeness in a fractured modern world. Framing my life's journey through Joseph Campbell's *Hero's Journey*, I recount my descent into the underworld of substance use, psychiatric intervention, and street life—experiences that led to the loss and eventual reclamation of my soul. Drawing upon archetypal psychology, depth psychology, and Dionysian mysticism, I challenge dominant biomedical models of mental illness (...) and addiction, advocating instead for a reimagining of madness as an initiatory process and substance use as a potential site of sacred transgression. This work critiques the societal forces that pathologize ecstasy, outlaw entheogenic sacraments, and reduce spiritual crises to psychiatric disorders. Engaging with thinkers such as Hillman, Jung, Moore, and Palmer, I argue that extreme distress—what psychiatry labels as psychosis, addiction, or bipolar disorder—can be understood as crises of meaning that demand soul retrieval rather than pharmaceutical suppression. Through my experiences with methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and homelessness, I confront the failures of mainstream addiction treatment, the violence of the War on Drugs, and the erasure of shamanic traditions that once guided seekers through altered states of consciousness. The monograph is structured around the arc of descent, crisis, and return, mirroring ancient mystery traditions and the rites of Dionysus. I explore the archetypal figures of Dionysus and Chiron—the god of ecstatic communion and the wounded healer—both illuminating my journey from self-destruction to transformation. As a wounded witness, I reflect on my role in harm reduction advocacy and the recovery movement through the framework of Dionysian Naturalism. Rather than embracing abstinence as the only path, I advocate for the Amethyst Path—a model of recovery honoring the sacred dimensions of altered consciousness while fostering moderation, ritual, and community integration. Weaving together personal narrative, cultural critique, and religious anthropology, this work is more than a memoir—it is a manifesto for reclaiming the ecstatic, re-sacralizing the human journey, and recognizing the lost souls among us as seekers in need of guidance rather than outcasts to be discarded. By integrating autoethnography with myth, psychology, and spirituality, this work challenges conventional understandings of addiction and mental illness, offering instead a vision of transformation rooted in ancient wisdom and the radical possibilities of the present. More souls mean more opportunities for individuals to seek divine truth and righteousness. However, what we intend is that from concepts like Volk (people) and from the fundamental ontological structure of Mit-sein (Being-with) can be established a Heidegger's political philosophy, quite far from the political barbarism that entail the Nazism. For this we have to thresh Heideggerian terminology and clearly define what Volk is and its relation with Dasein, the particular individual, and the structure earlier indicated as Mit-sein. También es sabido que tras la derrota de Alemania en la II Guerra Mundial, Heidegger guardó silencio sobre el Holocausto. Paul Celan, poeta judío que sufrió en los campos de concentración nazis, tuvo una serie de encuentros y desencuentros con el pensador de Friburgo. Celan esperaba que Heidegger emitiera una palabra (...) de perdón, palabra que aunaría la grandeza filosófica de Heidegger con la grandeza "humanitaria". Pero Heidegger, como decíamos, guardo silencio. La cuestión que queremos tomar al hilo de estos encuentro y desencuentros entre Heidegger y Celan es si es posible pensar Auschwitz después de Auschwitz, si es una tarea necesaria o si el horror del campo de concentración ha dejarse a la voz del poeta, ya que es posible que la poesía expresé mejor lo que sucedió. O, si por el contrario, tras Auschwitz sólo debe quedar el silencio, silencio como aquel en el que Heidegger permaneció. Auschwitz supone el culmen de la Modernidad, una Modernidad tecnificada, donde no hay sitio para la poesía. Celan hope thar Heidegger give a word of forgiveness, a word that would combine Heidegger's philosophical greatness with "humanitarian" greatness. But Heidegger, as mentioned, remained silent. The question we want take the thread of these meetings and disagreements between Heidegger and Celan is whether it's possible think Auschwitz, if it's a necesary task or the horror of the concentratión camp is to be left to the voice of the poet, because it´s possible that the poetry expresses better what happened. Or, if instead, after Auschwitz shoul only be silence, silence as one in which Heidegger remained. Auschwitz represents the culmination of Modernity, a tech modernity, where there isn't place for poetry. Neural networks and deep learning have improved image recognition systems significantly in recent years. Early image recognition used template matching to identify objects. A photo is compared to a stored template using similarity measures like correlation to get the best match. There are several constraints, (...) especially with distorted, scaled, or noisy images. Template matching is computationally expensive. CNNs are the most common deep learning architecture for computer vision. CNNs automatically learn visual input hierarchies. They include pooling, convolutional, and fully connected layers. Regional patterns like shapes, textures, and edges in the input image are filtered by convolutional layers. Pooling layers reduce feature map spatial dimensions, making feature extraction consistent and robust. Thick layers, or fully linked layers, classify or regress using learning features. CNN training requires a big labelled dataset. This research article introduces a deep learning model for the classification and recognition of images. The input data for this model is the Images Data Set. The GenNet Algorithm is employed to derive critical features. The accuracy of classification results is enhanced through the use of preprocessing and feature extraction. From childhood, people are taught to respect parents, teachers, and leaders, which helps maintain societal order. However, this conditioning can also suppress independent thought and personal moral judgment. -/- One of the most well-known psychological studies on obedience is Stanley Milgram’s experiment (1961). In this study, participants were instructed by an authority figure (a scientist) to administer electric shocks to another person (who was actually an actor and not harmed).
