Indonesia is developing greater opportunities for CSR activities, along with some obstacles and constraints. Unlike the Western world, one of the important drivers of CSR in this country is the importance of avoiding conflict. The agribusiness company JAPFA is very keen to promote CSR activities, not only to benefit the needy, but also for the survival of the organization in a very dynamic and turbulent market. This study elaborates how the JAPFA CSR program benefited the community around the company’s strategic (...) business unit operations, and what kind of return the company received. To give a wider perspective on CSR activities in Indonesian organizations,the study also investigates employee commitment to JAPFA, its corporate culture, and employee attitudes toward social responsibility. Concept, definition, history and criticism of literature.

The Saparan Bekakak Tradition in Mount Gamping, Sleman, Yogyakarta, is one of the cultural treasures that the local community continues to preserve. This tradition is held annually in the month of Sapar according to the Javanese calendar as an expression of gratitude to God Almighty and a plea for protection and prosperity for the local community. This study examines the religious values inherent in each stage of the Saparan Bekakak Tradition. The qualitative research method uses data collection techniques, including observation, (...) in-depth interviews, and literature studies. Data analysis is conducted descriptively to identify and understand the symbolism and religious meanings in the ceremony's processions. The results show that the Saparan Bekakak Tradition embodies various religious values reflected in the ceremony's symbols, specific rituals, and the community's beliefs in spiritual power. Each stage of the procession, from preparation to execution to closure, holds profound religious significance closely related to local beliefs and wisdom. These values encompass respect for ancestors, gratitude to God, and requests for blessings and protection for the community. This study provides an essential contribution to documenting and understanding the religious values within the Saparan Bekakak Tradition, which can serve as a foundation for efforts to preserve local culture and traditions. Thus, the results of this research are expected to enrich the understanding of Indonesia's cultural wealth and support efforts to protect this valuable cultural heritage. (shrink)

This research aims to present a literature review regarding developments in financial performance in the latest research in the electricity industry. This research uses a qualitative analysis approach with the Connected Paper application. The keywords used are financial performance and the electricity industry. The study found that financial performance was used in research by linking it to various aspects of corporate organization, including technological activities, innovation exploitation and exploration, alliances and performance, the importance of geographic location in exploration and exploitation, (...) as well as environmentally friendly innovation and its driving factors. These findings also show that social, economic and environmental factors have a significant influence on environmentally friendly innovation in the long term. The originality of this research lies in the comprehensive approach taken in reviewing various related literature sources so that this research can provide important insights for readers, open up new opportunities for further research, and enrich understanding of the topic of company financial performance. This article attempts to touch on the presence of anthropological approaches in contemporary readings of Islamic thought, given that the latter raises questions and problems that express events that are still characterised by a permanent and urgent situation, which led to the employment of several approaches and visions that descended from contemporary Western knowledge in the field of human sciences, including anthropology. Despite the Western origin of Islamic thought – anthropology – and the delay in its inclusion as a specialisation (...) within the field of academic practice in Arab universities after independence for various reasons, the years that followed the independence of Arab countries since the second half of the 20th century carried with them the seeds of the formation of the first anthropological research that began to find its way towards gradual maturity. Contribution: Anthropology, with its devised mechanisms and methodological tools, and the theoretical perceptions it entails, constitutes one of the entrances upon which contemporary readings of Islamic thought are based through a discussion of certain angles related to the historical and cultural heritage that furnish Islamic thought and nourish its references.
