Culinary Turn: Küche, Kochen Und Essen Als Ästhetische Praxis / Aesthetic Practice of Cookery.Nicolaj van der Meulen (ed.) - 2015 - Cambridge University Press.
Kitchen, cooking, nutrition, and eating have become omnipresent cultural topics. They stand at the center of design, gastronomy, nutrition science, and agriculture. Artists have appropriated cooking as an aesthetic practice - in turn, cooks are adapting the staging practices that go with an artistic self-image. This development is accompanied by a philosophy of cooking as a speculative cultural technique. This volume investigates the dimensions of a new #on#culinary turn#off#, combining for the very first time contributions from the theory and practice (...)

Stefan Wiesner's Practice of Cooking. A Contribution to Culinary Aesthetics.Nicolaj van der Meulen - 2020 - Humana Mente 13 (38).
This contribution explores the aesthetic dimensions of culinary practice. The methodological interweaving of phenomenology, speech act, pictorial, and design analysis points to an innovative cooking mindset which takes on shape in the menu “Elementary”: Wiesner renders nature experienceable with regard to taste in an essential manner. It is based on a concept of radical simplicity, which he calls “monotype”. “Monotype” mimicries neither (...)

Church Conflicts: The Cross, Apocalyptic, and Political Resistance.Ernst Käsemann (ed.) - 2021 - Baker Academic.
This important work by one of the most significant New Testament scholars of the modern period, now available in English for the first time, explores the significance of Christian apocalyptic for the church in times of conflict and crisis. Engaging with global social and political realities that are still very much with us, Ernst Käsemann offers a theological indictment of global white supremacy, capitalism, and militarism and passionately articulates an apocalyptic theology of liberation. The book includes a foreword by James (...)

Integrating CSR Initiatives in Business: An Organizing Framework. [REVIEW]Wenlong Yuan, Yongjian Bao & Alain Verbeke - 2011 - Journal of Business Ethics 101 (1):75 - 92.
Integrating corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in business is one of the great challenges facing firms today. Societal stakeholders require much more from the firm than pursuing profitability and growth. But these societal stakeholders often simply assume that increased societal expectations can easily be accommodated within efficiently run business operations, without much attention devoted to process issues. We build upon the core—periphery thesis to explore potential avenues for firms to add recurring CSR initiatives to their existing business practices. Based on (...)
