    In this paper, I discuss the text and the authenticity of Lucius Cincius Alimentus FRHist F11 dub. The generally accepted reading exultauit should be replaced by the reading insultauit, not mentioned in any of the collections of fragments of the Roman historians. Most of the evidence points to attributing the fragment to the antiquarian Lucius Cincius.
