Abstract

This paper intends to present the central nuclei that make up the sociology of José Ingenieros. It starts from his youth work to the thought that would give rise to a "classical" figure, so to speak, of this author, and then focus on one of his most important works such as Argentine Sociology. For this, the main political and scientific ideas that nourished their thinking at the different moments of their production are analyzed. The main objective is to describe the route and the way their ideas were taken until they were consolidated in a sociological system with a strong influence of natural science models.
