Abstract

The author in present article intends to prove that cognitive function is the proper function of natural language. In the same way, if the science and the philosophy want to express the true and rational knowledge about real world, they must use as the main function of language its cognative function. The author, with reference to classic philosophy, investigates the origin and structure of natural language has to fulfill to be an instrument of understanding the real world. These instruments are: opennes of language as mark system, conservation by this system an integrality of semantic, syntativ and pragmatic structures, dependence of this system by act of knowledge and object of knowledge. Theories of language which don't take the above into consideration, deform the knowledge and the language itself, which leads to total separation of language from real world.
