Abstract

La chaîne de télévision EuroNews est une alternative internationale aux grands médias audiovisuels anglo-saxons. Elle offre un même programme d'information en sept langues qui se veut objectif et anti-nationaliste. Transmettre la même actualité dans des langues différentes et faire travailler des journalistes de différentes cultures, ne sont pourtant pas des tâches faciles. Les choix politiques et organisationnels démontrent qu'EuroNews tente chaque jour de créer une « Europe de l'information ». L'expérience EuroNews prouve aussi que les diversités culturelles et linguistiques ne sont pas des freins à la construction d'un programme d'information communEuroNews is an international alternative to the big English-speaking global news channels. It is unique in that it offers the same programmes in seven languages - French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and English - and with a strictly objective and non-nationalistic style and editorial line. Broadcasting the same news in different languages and getting journalists from different cultures to work together harmoniously is not an easy task.
