Abstract

Can usage studies contribute to a theory of practices ? The communications sciences are particularly concerned with the study of usage because of the centrality of technologies among the objects it examines. A communicational approach can help us to think about social practices reflexively, taking into account our own research practices. From that standpoint, we can redefine the place of fieldwork and build new objects - "composites"
