Abstract

This article exposes the Arendt `s critique to the position of Philosophy with respect to the politics, as it has been manifested in the language and praxis of the dominant trends of the philosophical tradition, and confronts this critique with her own conception which was elaborated from her reading of Kant's work Critique of Judgment. At the same time, some questions for the debate about the points of view exposed, are set herein. The theme was developed in the following steps: 1) the reconstruction of the original meaning of the political; 2) the explanation of the meaning darkening of the political in the philosophical tradition; 3) the variations of its self-comprehension in the occidental political history; 4) the Arednt`s conception of relationship and discontinuity between philosophical comprehension and politics 5) her approximation of the political understanding and the aesthetic judgment, starting from the interpretation of Kant`s third Critique and, 6) the transformation of Kant`s erweiterte Denkungsart concept and of the reflexive judgment. Finally, 7) some lineaments are pointed out to the debate on the limitations of the Arendt`s turn in the political philosophy.
