Abstract

The essay explores the relation in Weber’s theory between education for the sciences and the education for democracy, a problem not explicitly treated by the Erfurt’s sociologist. This is done through the analysis of the epistemological dimension and Weber’s ethics on science. Two alternative interpretations are presented about the matter of analysis and one is select as the basis of a pluralistic standpoint.
