Abstract

Resumen El artículo parte del presupuesto de que el Concilio Vaticano II es el acontecimiento eclesial más significativo de los últimos siglos, y, como tal, todavía posee la capacidad de provocarnos y sacudirnos. Construir su memoria puede ser fuente de energía, de resistencia y creatividad para la Iglesia al escuchar y seguir la Ruah que siempre renueva. Para que la memoria del Concilio sea un impulso que nos lance a crear y recrear el presente y a imaginar el futuro de la Iglesia pueblo-de-Dios, la reflexión que se propone en este artículo indica algunas exigencias: (i)Superar la actitud del simple recuerdo nostálgico, apologético e idealizado del Concilio y de sus frutos, como si representara una ruptura revolucionaria de la Iglesia con respecto al passado; (ii) No condenar, sin más, las actitudes que parecen expressar um distanciamento de las propuestas del Concilio; (iii) Construir una memoria contextualizada, no excluyente, que convoque a la creatividad eclesial. IglesiaThe article assumes that the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council is seen as the most significant ecclesial event of the last centuries; and, as such, the Council has the power to provoke us. The building of the memory of the Council could be a source of energy, strength and creativity to the Church, in listening and following up the “Ruah” that is always in process of renovation. The article indicates some demands that make possible a memory of the Council able to launch us towards future and to help us to recreate the present and to imagine the future of the Church comprehended as ‘People of God’. Some of these demands are as follows: (i) Overcome some sort of idealized, nostalgic and apologetic memory that takes the Council as a total break of the church with its past; (ii) Avoid the condemnation, without any reason, of those attitudes that seem to express a distancing of the proposals of the Council; (iii) Build a contextualized memory that propitiates some ecclesial creativity.
