Abstract

Belting bespreekt de consequentie van het geloof dat beelden alleen naar zichzelf verwijzen en niet naar de realiteit, terwijl het begrip afgoderij juist een verschil tussen ware en valse beelden veronderstelt. Hij schrijft over de moderne beeldcultuur en haar bedrog.
