Abstract

Fril, the artificial intelligence language that implements this theory of uncertainty in the style of logic programming, is presented, with many examples and modules for the various applications. Two Fril demonstration disks are provided free in the book, to enable the reader to implement the examples while following the text. One of the disks is for the Macintosh computer; it will run on any Macintosh under System 7 or later. The other is for the IBM PC or clone, and will work under Windows 3.1 or later. The process of installing and running the demonstration software is straightforward and is described in the 'Read Me' file on each of the disks.
