Relativism has been discussed concerning the concepts of truth and rationality in Hilary Putnam's thoughts. Putnam suggested that truth is formed by idealizing rational acceptability. Rational acceptability is a criterion that depends on cognitive virtues and can change with human development. The relation of the sciences to the concept of conformity shows that our knowledge of the world presupposes values. Putnam considers relativism an inconsistent view in the sense that justification for truth is up to the individual. He says that (...) at least some value judgments should be objective. He argues that some conceptual truths are not descriptions of reality, but are indisputably true. Here, he thinks that we have objectivity without an object. (shrink)

Üzerinde yaşadığımız dünyada yoğun bir şiddet ve savaş olgusuyla karşılaştığımız bir gerçektir. Hatta insanlığın tarihine baktığımızda şiddet ve savaşın onun kaderinin ayrılmaz bir parçası gibi göründüğünü bile söyleyebiliriz. Peki savaş gerçekten insanlığın kaderi midir ya da savaşsız bir dünyada barış içinde yaşamak mümkün müdür? Bu mesele üzerine düşünenlerden birisi de ünlü Rus düşünür ve edebiyatçı Lev Tolstoy’dur ve biz de makalemizde Tolstoy’un söz konusu meseleye dair görüş ve düşüncelerini tartışmayı amaçlamaktayız. Yöntem olarak doküman inceleme ve metin analizinin kullanıldığı bu çalışmada, (...) Tolstoy’un konuyla ilgili temel eserleri okuma, anlama ve yorumlama faaliyetine tabi tutulmuştur. Ulaştığımız sonuç, Tolstoy’un savaş karşıtlığı ve barış ideali konusunda nev-i şahsına münhasır bir pozisyonda olduğudur. Şöyle ki, söz konusu problemi felsefelerinin merkezine yerleştiren Kant ve Russell gibi filozoflar meseleyi daha çok hukuki ve siyasi bir zeminde ele alıp çözümü de evrensel bir barış antlaşması ve küresel bir dünya devleti üzerinden kurgulamaya çalışırken, Tolstoy meseleye ahlaki ve dini bir perspektiften yaklaşmakta ve çözümü de insanların duygu, düşünce ve inançlarını bir bütün olarak çatışmacı motivasyonlardan arındırıp, barışçıl duygu ve eylemleri hayatlarının merkezine yerleştirmek suretiyle mümkün olabileceğini düşünmektedir. Toplumsal hayatın birçok alanında insan ilişkilerini belirleyen din, insanoğlunun en temel faaliyetlerinden biri olan iktisadi ilişkileri de etkilemektedir. Bu durum iktisadi faaliyetleri salt iktisadi yapının belirlediği bir alan olarak görme yerine dinin de etkisinin olabileceğini göz önünde bulundurmayı gerektirir. Bundan dolayı iktisat ve din ilişkisine toplum bilimciler kayıtsız kalamamıştır. Bunlardan biri olan Weber, karakteristik bir dinî anlayışın modern kapitalist zenginleşmeyi getireceği ama sonrasında dinî değerler ile rasyonel ekonomik çıkarların birleşmesinin sekülerleşmeyi doğuracağı tezini öne sürmüştür. Günümüz dünyasında dinin sahip olduğu önem, (...) sekülerleşmenin bu klasik biçiminin isabetsizliğini ortaya koymuştur. Dinin aradan geçen zamana rağmen toplum ilişkilerinde hâlâ önemli bir dinamik olarak varlığını sürdürmesi, son zamanlarda din-iktisat ilişkisine yönelik akademik ilgide tekrar bir canlanmaya sebep olmuştur. Türkiye’de neoliberal politikalar sonrasında dikkat çeken iktisadi başarının aktörlerinin İslami kimlikle anılmasından dolayı bu tür çalışmaların genellikle belli muhitlerde gerçekleştirildiği, ulaşılan sonuçların da İslami kimlikle anılan söz konusu kesime sosyal sermaye sağlama işlevi gördüğü düşünülen kuruluşların üyelerine dayandırıldığı görülmektedir. Ayrıca bu çalışmalarda dini inanç, özellikle girişimciliği motive eden boyutuyla ele alınmış, iş hayatının diğer alanlarına yansıyan boyutu ise ihmal edilmiştir. Hâlbuki din-iktisat ilişkisini daha iyi anlayabilmek için iktisadi kalkınmadan ya da belli bir konjonktürden bağımsız olarak iş hayatının tüm alanlarındaki tezahürlerine odaklanacak ve toplumun farklı katmanlarını içine alacak araştırmalara ihtiyaç bulunmaktadır. Bu nedenlerden dolayı çalışmamızın literatüre katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir. Nitel araştırma yöntemini kullanan bu çalışma, yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat tekniğiyle elde edilen verilerden yola çıkarak Siirt ilinde faaliyet gösteren iş adamlarının sahip olduğu din anlayışının iş hayatındaki tezahürlerini anlamayı ve betimlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu temel amaca uygun olarak din ve dindarlık algısı, çalışmanın motivasyon kaynağı olarak din, iktisadi tutum ve davranışlarda dini etki konularıyla ilişkili sorulara yanıt aranmaya çalışılmaktadır. Elde edilen bulgular, akılcılığa vurgu yapan, zenginleşmeye dair olumlu duygular besleyen, modern ekonomik koşullara uyum sağlamaya çalışan ve bunu dini inancıyla bağdaştıran bir girişimci profiline işaret etmektedir. Dini olanın seküler olanla karşılaşmasında yaşanan gerilimde geliştirilen yeni yorum ve yaklaşımlar da bu uyum çabasını desteklemektedir. Bununla birlikte katılımcıların para kazanmayla ilgili sahip olduğu olumlu duygunun helal-harama riayet koşuluna tabi olması ve Ahîlik esnaf kültürüne vurgu yapılması ise geleneksel İslami iş ahlakıyla uygunluk göstermektedir. Istanbul Feminist Night Marches are a long-lasting branch of feminist activism for Women’s Day in Turkey. Each year, thousands of women get together around Istiklal Street and sing and chant together; drum beats emanate from percussion groups; whistles accompany slogans, slogans accompany songs. In the end, the acoustic experience becomes one of the most memorable aspects of the demonstration. Following this premise, this article investigates the political significance of the Istanbul Feminist Night Marches through its acoustic atmosphere and asks the (...) question: How is the soundscape of the march related to its political power? What does this soundscape do? And what might we discover from trying to listen to the soundscape of the march with a theoretical ear? Combining personal experiences of individuals who participated in these protests with theories and historical discussions about the gendered acoustic sensory order of the social fabric, this article sets out to reveal the political and transformative power of the Istanbul Feminist Night Marches by investigating the voices and sounds within. The article argues that the composition of Feminist Night Marches, where women gather to stand side by side with their differences, is represented by the acoustic atmosphere of the march that women describe as a cacophony. This acoustic atmosphere enables a different type of relationality and politics that privilege who is speaking rather than what is spoken. When women tune in to this atmosphere they get materially affected by it and leave the scene with an increased capacity to act. The combination of protest against patriarchy and celebration of life within this soundscape creates affective solidarities among women and new potentialities regarding how we relate to each other by sounding possible worlds. The word "meâl" in Arabic means "the destination or aim of something" however in terminology it means approximate translation of the Qur'an from the original text to the target language. For someone who doesn't know Arabic, the meaning of the Qur'an is the most significant and unique way to reach God's final revelation. Therefore, great responsibility has been placed on the shoulders of the translator of the Qur'an, plus the aim and duty of these translators must be to deliver God's (...) will correctly. A translator willing to take upon this much responsibility, in a subject of this importance and sensitivity, first must evaluate their competency within their inner world, and only if they decide that they are qualified enough in this profession they must try to do everything within their capability to provide everything that this responsibility requires, without growing tired of it. Regrettably expressed, that many translators of the Qur'an are not even aware of this responsibility. It is easy to understand that they are duplicates of each other. However, we must exclude some translators of the Qur'an such as Salih Akdemir. One of the most valuable works of Akdemir in his academic life is the meaning of the Qur'an in Turkish, "Son Çağrı Kur'an". His study is not well recognized in our country. Akdemir used the possibilities of the Turkish quite well in the meaning of the Qur'an. In this article, we will examine Salih Akdemir's translation of the Qur'an named "Son Çağrı Kur'an". (shrink)
