    Commentary on "Edmund Husserl's Influence on Karl Jaspers's Phenomenology".Jean-Michel Azorin & Jean Naudin - 1997 - Philosophy, Psychiatry, and Psychology 4 (1):37-39.

This thesis enters a current debate opened by Chris Walker and German Berrios about the influence of Husserlian philosophy on Jaspers’s work. This debate, which emerged at the end of the so-called decade of the brain, (...)

In the introduction to his first book, Schizophrenia: Psychopathology of Schizoids and Schizophrenics (Minkowski 1927), Minkowski nevertheless notes with regard to Bleuler that he could not (...)

The use of the husserlian reduction as a method of investigation in psychiatry.Jean Naudin, Caroline Gros-Azorin, Aaron Mishara, Osborne P. Wiggins, M. Schwartz & J.-M. Azorin - 1999 - Journal of Consciousness Studies 6 (2-3):155-171.
Husserlian reduction is a rigorous method for describing the foundations of psychiatric experience. With Jaspers we consider three main principles inspired by phenomenological reduction: direct givenness, absence of presuppositions, re-presentation. But with Binswanger alone we refer to eidetic and transcendental reduction: to establish a critical epistemology; to directly investigate the constitutive processes of mental phenomena and their disturbances, freed from their nosological background; to question the constitution of our own experience when facing a person with mental illness. Regarding the last (...)

    Binswanger & Schapp: Existential Analysis or Narrative Analysis?Catherine Wieder, J. Naudin & J. M. Azorin - 1998 - Journal of Phenomenological Psychology 29 (2):212-230.
Binszuanger's Daseinsanalyse is, first and foremost, an attempt to explain the close links that may exist between how to understand, interpret, and experience. To achieve this goal, it constantly evolves through a to and fro movement between two kinds of thought processes, that is, Husserl's and Heidegger's. It sways around the central question of living connections that take place between the experiences within the intimate "stories" of one's life and the very same connections between my own experience and that of (...)

    The Hallucinatory Epoché.Jean Naudin & Jean-Michel Azorin - 1997 - Journal of Phenomenological Psychology 28 (2):171-195.
This paper focuses on the phenomenological significance of schizophrenics' auditory hallucinations and begins with the face-to-face relationship in order to describe the schizophrenic experience. Following European psychiatrists like Blackenburg and Tatossian, the authors compare the bracketing of reality in the Husserlian phenomenological reduction with that of the hallucinatory experience. "Hallucinatory epoché" is used to refer to the schizophrenic way to experiencing auditory hallucinations. The problem of intentionality is then discussed, in addition to that of dialogue, internal time, living body, and (...)

Complementary Resources and Capabilities for an Ethical and Environmental Management: A Qual/Quan Study.María Dolores López-Gamero, Enrique Claver-Cortés & José Francisco Molina-Azorín - 2008 - Journal of Business Ethics 82 (3):701-732.
Managers’ commitment to contribute to sustainable development holds the key to their long-term business success and may be a source of competitive advantage. The managerial perception of business ethics is influenced by the level of moral development and personal characteristics of managers. These perceptions are also shaped by forces existing in the environment of the firm, including available resources, societal expectations, sector, and regulations. The resource-based perspective can thus contribute to the analysis of ethical issues offering important insights on how (...)

    Variations on a nucleosome theme: The structural basis of centromere function.Olga Moreno-Moreno, Mònica Torras-Llort & Fernando Azorín - 2017 - Bioessays 39 (4):1600241.
The centromere is a specialized chromosomal structure that dictates kinetochore assembly and, thus, is essential for accurate chromosome segregation. Centromere identity is determined epigenetically by the presence of a centromere‐specific histone H3 variant, CENP‐A, that replaces canonical H3 in centromeric chromatin. Here, we discuss recent work by Roulland et al. that identifies structural elements of the nucleosome as essential determinants of centromere function. In particular, CENP‐A nucleosomes have flexible DNA ends due to the short αN helix of CENP‐A. The higher (...)

MDL+ a manufacturing description language to describe and control assembling tasks in industry 4.0.Mauricio-Andres Zamora-Hernandez, Jose Andrez Chaves Ceciliano, Alonso Villalobos Granados, John Alejandro Castro Vargas, Jose Garcia-Rodriguez & Jorge Azorin-Lopez - 2023 - Logic Journal of the IGPL 31 (4):664-687.
The assembly of products or components by operators in industries is a complex task with recurring problems. In these processes, operators often make errors that can lead to defective products. Therefore, they need to be inspected later to verify their correct assembly. The main problems are caused by several reasons including high employee turnover, lack of experience in manufacturing specific products or confusion in interpreting instructions to assemble similar components. In this paper, a novel structured language aimed to describe the (...)

Cita preferentemente a Montaigne, Schopenhauer y Nietzsche.

The article is focused in texts of three authors of "the generation of 98": Azorín, Unamuno and Valle-Inclán. In them we found ways and forms to experience time: the present time, novelty, hurry against cyclic time, "intrahistory" and tradition, permanence, private time and common time, the transcendence of the time..
