Zhou Dunyi's Explanations of Tai ii Diagram, the Image-Numbers of the Changes, and the Related Doctrines in the West
Abstract

In this new understanding of the way, Zhou's "Diagram that" it is not just a vague Lu-Wang Neo-pilot, but the integration of the release of the ideological essence of Confucianism and Taoism, but the idea has its own unique strength and the primary and the subtle realm of epoch-making philosophical doctrine of Yun-Yi has not been the later Neo are exhausted. Finally, the article's ideas and Western Zhou Pythagoras and Leibniz's theory of comparison, on the one hand to reveal "as the number" in the great philosophical tradition of the key role on the other hand that the two traditional Chinese and Western profound differences that exist between the structural reasons. In the new horizon, Zhou's Explanations of Tai Ji Diagram is not merely a vague prelude of the later prevailing doctrines , but epoch-breaking thoght that has its own distinctive originality and subtle thinking quality. What it contains is not exhausted by the following neo-Confucians. In the final part, the paper compares Zhou with Pythagorean and Leibniz 'thoughts, to manifest the key roles of "image-number" in forming the great philosophical traditions and the structural reasons for the differences between Chinese and Western traditions
