Abstract

Nietzsche's critique of truth relates to the inversion of the relationship between art and logos that has existed in philosophy since Plato. Thus, his critical work is undertaken in the light of notions which are related to art, such as fiction, mask, elation and illusion. Therefore, Nietzsche approaches the problem of truth in two different ways: 1) by criticizing representational language and 2) by criticizing the notion of the "real world". This enables him to challenge the foundations of truth to the extent that in doing so he will do away with the problem of truth and replace the notion of appearance.
