Abstract

John Rawls in his famous work "Theory of Justice" , the principle of savings illustrate the problem of justice between generations, and integrate it into two principles of justice, and become a building society with the basic system One of the principles. However, Rawls principles of interpretation and evidence as the rationale for savings, that is, motivation is assumed and the family model, but was scholar Jane English and de-Shalit, who questioned this interpretation and that the original location in conflict with rational characteristics of those and will lead to justice point of view on the interpretation of family difficulties. In 1993, Rawls' political liberalism " in this response, and concern about the next generation of motivation assumes that amended to" required to comply with the previous generation is also committed to the principle that they comply with the savings, whether forward or traced far back. " In this view Rawls' Theory of Justice "and" political liberalism "in the discussion on the principle of saving the difference, and argues, Rawls not to take the family model to explain the principles of evidence into savings, according to" political liberalism "in the amendment, Rawls You can take the big rules in the use of small to illustrate the principles of evidence established savings. In the work that won him fame, A Theory of Justice, John Rawls took the "savings principle" to explain the "intergenerational justice" and included it as one of the two principles of justice and therefore part of the fundamental principles whereupon to construct the basic system of the society. But Rawls's arguments to explicate and justify the savings principle-the motivation assumption and the family mode-are challenged by scholars, such as Jane English and de-Shalit. They considered Rawls's explanation to be in conflict with the reasonable characteristics in the original position and cause difficulties in interpreting the justice about family. Rawls responded to such a challenge in Political Liberalism published in 1993, and somewhat revised his motivation assumption of caring about the next generation. In this paper, we review the different statements about the saving s principle in A Theory of Justice and Political Liberalism; we also intend to argue that Rawls not necessarily had to employ the family mode to explain the justification of the savings principle. According to the revision he made in Political Liberalism, Rawls could take advantage of the "maximin rule" to explicate the justification of the savings principle.
