Life History Mahasiswi Menjadi Lesbian

Abstract

Lesbian is an emotional relationship between two of the same sex, namely women, which involves feeling, love and affection. Psychiatrically, lesbianism is a form of deviant sexual behavior. Lesbianism can occur due to various factors, namely biological factors, psychological factors, bad environmental influences and parenting style factors. In general, it is estimated that the number of lesbians in society is 1 percent to 10 percent of the population. The aim of this research is to find out the life journey of students who become lesbians. The methodology used is descriptive qualitative with a phenomenological approach. This research aims to understand the life experiences of a student who identifies as a lesbian. Through a qualitative phenomenological approach, this research seeks to explore the subject's meaning and understanding of her sexual identity, as well as the factors that influence her life journey as a lesbian. This study rejects the view that equates lesbianism with deviant behavior. Rather, this research focuses on the subjective experiences of lesbian individuals within a broader social and cultural context. It is hoped that the research results will contribute to a deeper understanding of lesbian identity and the challenges faced by the lesbian community.
