Abstract

This little book will prove most useful. The Introduction gives a welcome account of the Vienna Circle itself, and what became of its members after the invasion of Austria. The rest of the book sketches the development of the doctrines of the Circle. This will be avidly read by many who vainly try to find out what Logical Positivism is about. The author's presentation is always readable and untechnical and, if not very detailed, as thorough as is possible in the brief compass he permits himself.
