Abstract

This paper demonstrates how a Freirean pedagogical approach can be used to transform methods of preparing music conservatoire students for creating short musical compositions in a post-graduation environment, using examples of curricular re-framing by Seher and cultural anthropology practice by Barnes to create a problem-posing pedagogy.
