Abstract
Serverless computing has become a pivotal model in cloud computing, offering the promise of reducing
operational overhead, improving cost efficiency, and enabling scalable solutions without the need to manage
infrastructure. This paradigm allows developers to focus purely on application logic while abstracting away the
complexities of server management. As serverless computing evolves, it is pushing the boundaries of cloud
architectures by enabling dynamic scaling and cost-effective resource utilization. This paper explores the future
trajectory of serverless computing, focusing on its potential for cost optimization, scalability, and innovation in cloud
applications. We discuss the underlying principles of serverless computing, its current advantages, challenges, and how
emerging technologies such as containerization, multi-cloud architectures, and edge computing will further enhance its
capabilities. Additionally, we analyze the economic model of serverless computing and its impact on cloud services
pricing, as well as the security and performance considerations that must be addressed as the technology matures. The
