Abstract

This essay is the introduction to the Italian translation of the letters that, for almost two decades, the philosopher Ernst Cassirer wrote to the clinical neuropsychologist Kurt Goldstein. It deals with the intellectual and the personal links that marked some of the most significant moments of Cassirer Denkweg, especially in reference to the symbolic function of language
