Rising of the "Female Nationals": To Study the Female Subjects in the Literature Practice in Modern China

Abstract

Modern Chinese intellectual of the "national - state" relationship building, individual national identity in the political discourse of the establishment, for the modern woman seeking a new identity and discourse space has opened up political space. Modern art is what women in this discourse space and political space, by women and the rights and obligations between countries is difficult to debate the relationship between national identity and gender roles and the game, established the independence of the individual identity - "female citizens." Although this concept did not form a system with a practical guide to political theory, but their literary practice through the spectacular, and the speech again and again reinforces the identity of the body, forming a momentum rather massive "female national" discourse; also because of the "feminist", "civil rights", "natural rights" and other concepts of the different understanding of the relevant field of discourse in the formation of a meaningful internal tension. Owing to the appeared relationship of "national-nation" and national identity of individuals in modem China, the modem Chinese women began to seek for the new identity-female nationals by discussing the women rights and duties on national issues, especially from gender aspect. Even though the woman identity of female nationals did not form a systematical or practical theory, the literature practice relevant to female nationals strengthened this identity, finally produced a powerful discourse. However, the different comprehension about the concepts of feminist, national rights and human rights made the discourse possess multiplicity to be expounded
