Abstract

This volume contains a varied selection of papers in the philosophy of mind. Approximately a third of the contributors have worked on issues related to mental causation, whether focusing on physical realization or on Davidson’s notion of reason explanation as causal. A second group of papers—related but at some distance—treat the nature of thinking as intentional, as computational, as rational or irrational. Contributors include Lynne Rudder Baker, Jesús Ezquerro, Adolf Grünbaum, Olbeth Hansberg, Ted Honderich, Diana Tietjens Meyers, Carlos Moya, Sydney Shoemaker, Agustín Vicente, and Stephen Yablo. Author abstracts are provided for each paper and a complete name index is provided.
