Abstract

This article seeks to explore the meaning of corporeity. In criticizing the subjectivity based on the philosophy of consciousness or the concept of substance, Patocka illuminate the essence of Ego in the point of view of body in motion. The corporeal ego, insofa as it is non-substantil, lives in the world which could offer the condition of survival. In this aspect, to understand the existential essence of body is to grasp the innerworldly presence of ego. In the World, it has the aspiration to fulfill the need of life. Thus, the life consist in being outside itself; this externalization allows us to constitute ourself. This shows how much the life is deeply rooted in the world. Finally we can re-define the phenomenology from the enrootedness of our body in the world.
