Abstract

Welcoming parents in a neonatalogy unit is a largely ignored activity. The aim is to take in charge parents who welcome a premature infant. Nurses take care of these parents, who have imagined a healthy child. Her Their activities move toward the involvement of the parents in the relationship with the child. First in this contribution, we define what we call accompagnying and support to the parenthood in the field of neonatalogy. Second, we explain the theorical framework of the research based on two conceptual key-words, experience and capabilities, linked with the activity theory. Third, this frame refere to the professional didactics by studying the links between situation and activity. This choice is motivated by the necessity of a method of work analysis to understand the activity of nurses and nursery nurses in the work situation. Finally, it seems the best way to understand how this competency is applied on the job, by comparing any nurses in action.
