Since 1996, Newman has written short plays expressly for presentation at American Psychological Association Annual Conventions. The impetus for these “psychology plays” was Kenneth Gergen's invitation to Newman and me to participate in an innovative symposium he was putting together for theAPA's 1996 convention.
