Abstract

This paper analyses P. Ricoeur’s proposal about personal identity, entitled hermeneutics of the self, which aims to fill a halfway philosophical place between Descartes and Nietzsche. The author of Soimême comme un autreoffers a narrative solution that will be critically considered according to the relation that the hermeneutics of the selfestablishes between philosophy and literature
