Abstract

O objetivo deste artigo é pensar o conceito de cultura nos nossos dias, a partir de dois filósofos contemporâneos cujos pensamentos definem em grande parte as características principais da presente atmosfera cultural: Nietzsche e Rorty. A discussão divide-se em três partes: 1 – Nietzsche e o niilismo da cultura pós-metafísica, em que se apresenta o diagnóstico amplo que Nietzsche faz de nosso tempo através da introdução em filosofia da noção de niilismo; 2 – Perspectivismo e agonismo para a cultura pós-niilista, em que se discute o perspectivismo e o agonismo como possibilidades de superação do niilismo; e, finalmente, 3 – O Nietzsche de Rorty e seus limites, em que se conclui mostrando os limites da leitura rortyana de Nietzsche e levantando a objeção de que em parte os problemas do pensamento político de Rorty decorrem do fato de que este não alimenta das idéias políticas de Nietzsche como ocorre em relação às questões epistemológicas.The aim of this paper is to think the concept of culture nowadays through twocontemporary philosophers whose thoughts define in a large amount the capital features of the present cultural atmosphere: Nietzsche and Rorty. The discussion is divided in three parts: 1 – Nietzsche and the nihilism of post-metaphysics culture, which presents the large diagnosis made by Nietzsche of our time by the means of the introduction of the notion of nihilism in philosophy; 2 – Perspectivism and agonism to the pos-nihilist culture, where we discuss the perspectivism and the agonism as overcoming possibilities of nihilism; 3 – The Rorty’s Nietzsche and its limits, in which we conclude by showing the limits of the rortyan interpretation of Nietzsche and we object that some of the problems of Rorty’s political thought springs from the fact that it does not feed itself with Nietzsche’s political ideas as it does in what concerns the epistemological questions
