Abstract

Previous chapter Over the past fifteen years rhythm has become the object of increasing attention in social science and cultural studies, both as a subject of research and as a tool. The number of papers and books devoted to rhythmanalysis has increased exponentially, even if one excludes studies more specifically devoted to music.
