Abstract

The purpose of this book is to present human geography as pursued in Eastern Europe and the USSR since 1945, and to bridge the gap still existing in the methodological literature of the region. Coupled with the longlasting interest scholars have had in the development of the discipline in the Eastern bloc are the current changes which will have a dramatic effect on how human geography is approached. The author provides a perspective on these changes.
