Dream between Life-and-Death Introduction to the Hermeneutics of Dream and Dream-Work
Abstract
This meaning of life from dream to explore the problem started, to contemporary interpretation of dreams and dream work in the West learn the psychological importance of therapeutic areas. I set out by the Danish psychologist Ole Vedfelt the 13 European and American contemporary interpretation of a dream to learn the direction and concept of multiple interpretation of dreams, brief study of the background of contemporary interpretation of dreams. Theoretical part of this dream, dream interpretation study focused on the basis of today's psychoanalysis of the introduction: Freud, Jung and Fromm. Understanding of the field of dreams, dream theory, in addition to learning, but also need experience working way into the dream, so dream work and then introduce several principles. Dream work in the development of a conscious interpretation of dreams is the basic condition of ethics, must work side by side with a dream. Finally, I come back to life and death issues of education, and holds life and death dream education to join the field of education, and hospice care, grief counseling and psychological work in all types can also be included in dream interpretation and dream work of the school learning programs. The general question of the significance of dreams for the meaning of life is addressed in this paper in four parts: The importance of the hermeneutics of dream analysis in the therapeutic field in western countries is explained. The writings of Ole Vedfelt, a psychologist from Denmark , are presented. Vedfelt classifies the modem hermeneutics of dream into 13 main streams, including dream interpretation in psychoanalysis, parapsychology and transpersonal psychology, and puts forward a concept of multidimensional dream analysis. 2. The subject of dream theory in psychoanalysis is described, in particular the dream theories of Sigmund Freud, Carl Gustav Jung and Erich Fromm. 3. A practical approach to dream-work is presented, including an ethical guideline for dream-work. 4. Finally a concept for the teaching of dream interpretation to students is presented, especially for students in the field of Life and-Death studies. In this field many people have questions about dreams, eg in the context of terminal care and bereavement counselling. An aim of the author is to integrate the field of dream work into Life-and-Death studies
