Abstract

Nitzan Lebovic is Professor of History at Lehigh University. We thank him and the Journal for Cultural and Religious Theory 19:3 for permission to republish his article here. In his seminar on Walter Benjamin's “Theses on the Philosophy of History,” Jacob Taubes argued that for Benjamin theology served specific aims.
