Metalwork’s craft of the last middle ages in khorezm

Abstract

In the article, Khorezm's latest medieval metallurgical craft is illuminated on the basis of written sources and archival documents. At that time, in the development of the economic and cultural life of Khorezm, the products of metallurgical craftsmanship were of great importance. Blacksmithing was one of the most common and developed areas. At that time, some districts of Khorezm specialized in the production of certain types of iron products. From the end of the XIX century, the first division of Labor began to occur in large workshops. The city of Khiva was important as a center for the production of metallurgical products in Khorezm.
