Abstract

The aim of the study is to determine the motives of dissipation (ie, overflow) of Ukrainian applicants in foreign universities. It was determined that the problem of dissipation of Ukrainian applicants in foreign universities has important theoretical and practical significance. This information is important for predicting the trends of social change and the pace of the modernization of society, understanding of how to modernize the education system, the definition of the status and prospects of the labor market development – global, national, regional. It was found that applicants are still undecided in their choice of a professional, do not realize what they plan to do in the future, where they want to work, what kind of work want to do. That is, for the majority of school leavers the choice of further educational trajectory is not a conscious choice with the projected prospects. This choice is quite random, determined by various factors – the desire of parents, the results of UPE, fashion, prestige, future profession, ease of education and the like. It is shown that in recent years has increased the proportion of applicants who want to study in a foreign university. This choice makes it important life expectancy. These expectations are largely stimulated by the media and activities of NGOs, which are «recruited» human resource for foreign universities. These motivating factors are: the recognition of foreign university diplomas in the world; the prestige of education in a foreign university; cultural self-development; communicate with peers from other countries; the best technical equipment of the educational process, qualification of teachers; the objectivity of knowledge assessment and others. The study of sociologists of Dnipropetrovsk University concluded that that the main factors of choice of foreign universities entrants are professional expectations. This is – the opportunity to become a qualified professional in the chosen field; the desire to become in the future, financially secure man; the ability to take a prestigious position in society; quality education. It was found that most foreign universities plan to the inhabitants of the regional center, who studied in a specialized school, gymnasium, lyceum. Obviously, such a pattern is due to the fact that the pupils of the regional center specialized educational institutions have the best conditions for targeted training and motivation to career growth.
