Abstract

The membership of APA's Division of Psychotherapy is increasingly engaged in an enormously important and growing debate about the essential nature of our calling. The very term "psychotherapy"—with its connotations as "mind healing"—contains within itself the seeds of our discontent. In this paper, these debates concerning psychotherapy will be discussed. 2012 APA, all rights reserved)
