Abstract

Fifteen essays, which rarely go much below the surface, on Plato's moral and political thought. For the most part, the author contents himself with remarking that Plato's dualism finds a place for moral values, which materialism denies, and that he was an opponent of unhealthy, but not of healthy, democracy.--J.
