Abstract
Starting from the concrete reality that each fi eld of research implicitly relates to a signifi cant amount
of principles and structural foundations, also called „sources”, our research attempts to highlight
the role of the Holy Scripture in apologetic terms. „The apologetic foundations of the Scripture”
represents a perspective in itself, open and willing to have a dialogue with the factors of a constantly
changing society. And if, for niche sciences, these foundations or principles incorporate a limited
elasticity, in the case of the apologetic approach the factor of relating to the basic elements becomes
almost inexhaustible. This is due to a permanent relationship to the Holy Scripture, par excellence
the source of all fundamental existential principles. We thus demonstrate, in our study, that the
scriptural foundations of orthodox apologetics have a universal validity, anachronistically confi rming
themselves in the dialogue with profane sciences.
