Averroes: Aristotelian explanation on the Universe

Abstract

This paper aims at studying the original way Averroes explains the universe and answering the new problematic on reveled truth and reason. Averroes formulation must not be considered as “the” Islamic philosophy of nature, but as one among many different philosophies of nature formulated by Muslims philosophers. Key words: Averroes, philosophy of nature, islamic philosophy, faith and reason.
