Vienna was the birthplace of the world-renowned Circle that bears its name as well as of Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic theories. For that reason alone, it is of interest to inquire into the philosophical relations between logical empiricism and Freudian psychoanalysis as construed by their advocates.
