Rick & Morty as Philosophy: Nihilism in the Multiverse

Abstract

The chapter explores the nihilist worldview presented in the TV series Rick and Morty. It will be argued that this kind of nihilism relies on cultural relativism and on the existence of infinite other possible worlds. It will be then shown how the endorsement of a nihilist perspective leads Rick to have a hedonistic lifestyle.
