Abstract

O presente artigo tern por objectivo explicitar pela via hermenêutica as convergências fundamentals entre a filosofia teórica de Kant e o pensamento levinasiano. O autor começa por mostrar em que medida em ambos os casos a metafíslca é concebível como Desejo do Infinite. Em segundo lugar, determina-se também a prioridade do Infinlto e da Metafísica sobre a "totalidade" e a ontologia de Kant. Finalmente, explicitase em que medlda a razão em Kant cumpre a inversão da intencionalidade que converte a metafíslca em resposta à interpelação de um Outro indeterminável. /// The article discloses, following a hermeneutlc path of thought, the main points of convergence between Kant's theoretical philosophy and the Levinasian way of thinking. The author begins by showing the extent to which in both Kant and levinas metaphysics can be conceived as the Desire of infinity. Second, an attempt is made to establish the priority of "infinity" and metaphysics over "totality" and ontology in Kant's philosophy. Finally, the article discusses how reason, according to Kant, carries out an inversion of intentionality that turns metaphysics into an answer to the interpellation of an undeterminable Other.
